The Father of the Flame boss fight is simple: dodge the fireballs, destroy the branches, and then destroy its heart. To quickly get rid of the branches, you can use Delver's Drill a couple of times while above them.

The Fractured Mask, Magnetite Dice, or Magma Bell are part of the loadout to boost your survivability. This is because you'll likely get hit by one of the Father of Flame's fireballs as you pogo and dodge at the same time. The second Yellow Tool slot is flexible; you can bring anything you want.

You need Voltvessels to easily destroy the Father of the Flame's heart after destroying its limbs. Simply, drop it directly below the heart to deal a lot of damage to it!

Since you need to pogo, the Reaper Crest is the best Crest for this fight. While you can equip Thread Storm, we recommend spending your Silk to heal Hornet instead.

The Witch Crest is also a good alternative for this fight. The Witch Crest's attacks are much faster than the Reaper Crest, which makes it better for hitting back the Father of the Flame's fireballs. Its quick Pogo Jumps also makes it invaluable for the platforming sections in the arena.

Double Jump Map Location

The Faydown Cloak, also known as the double jump, is needed to access Wisp Thicket from Greymoor. As shown in the image above, you can get the double jump ability at the topmost area of Mount Fay!

Pogo to Destroy the Branches

You need to attack a branch's lantern multiple times to destroy it. You can reach the lanterns by pogoing on the red sandbags hanging near them. Then, chain your pogo attacks while dodging the Father of the Flame's fireballs.

Use Flintslate to Deal More Damage

You can destroy the branches much faster if you equip Flintslate since it increases your needle's damage. Pairing it up with Pollip Pouch adds poison to your needle!

Use Voltvessels to Destroy the Heart

We highly recommend using Voltvessels during Phase 2 of the boss fight to easily deal damage to the Father of the Flame's heart. Since the boss does not move, you just need to place Voltvessels directly below it. With the Voltvessels dealing damage, you can focus on dodging the fireballs!

I didn't have any craftmetal to get the Magma Bell. So I went with Plasmium Phial. Worked for me..
