Since the Bell Eater exposes its head and/or tail during the fight, AOE skills, tools, and attacks allow you to hit easily hit both of them and deal a lot of damage.
Cross Stitch or Thread Storm are effective skills against the Bell Eater due to their damage and area of effect.
For damage tools, Cogwork Wheel and Voltvessels allow you to deal damage to both the Bell Eater's head and tail. Pollip Pouch applies venom to Cogwork and Voltvessels to add more damage.
For defensive tools, Fractured Mask essentially gives you more health masks while Warding Bell grants you a shield when you're healing/binding and also allows you to perform a counter attack when you're hit while the shield is active. Magnetite Dice can negate an attack at random, which can be useful at times.
Witch Crest's attacks work great against Bell Eater, particularly its Silk Bind attack.

The Bell Eater can be fought at any bell beast station in Act 3. Summon the Bell Beast to trigger the fight with the Bell Eater.

The Bell Eater will expose its head or tail above or below the arena throughout the fight, which is the only way you can deal damage to it. Whenever it exposes either part, make sure to hit the actual part (not its scales) by doing a jump attack.
You'll only get to hit it a few times before it burrows again, so attack as many times as possible.
The Bell Eater will occassionally expose both its head and tail with one spawning above and the other below. When this happens, use AOE skills, tools, and/or attacks to hit both parts simultaneously.
The simplest way to do this is by using the Silk Bind attack of the Witch Crest.
The Bell Eater will rapidly sweep its four (4) legs back and forth, covering a wide area. All you need to do is step back from its head for a while until the attack stops before attacking again. It will do this attack whenever its head is exposed.
Additionally, don't bother attacking while its doing this attack since it will just deflect it, and you're also risking taking damage.
When the Bell Eater exposes both its head and tail at the same time, its head will rapidly shoot multiple balls of red slime from above. The projectiles are fast, so you need to quickly get away from its head to dodge the attack.
Whenever the Bell Eater exposes its tail, it will shoot eggs that explodes upon contact or after a few seconds. Although projectiles are slow, the exposion can be devasting, so it's best to stay away from them until they explode.
One of the Bell Eater's special attacks is burrowing below and across the arena. The only way to dodge this attack is by using Double Jump and Glide.
Another one of the Bell Eater's special attacks is when it slithers through the ceiling of the arena, then drop multiple bells that bounce one time. All you need to do is to dodge the bells when they're falling and bouncing.
There are no rewards given when defeating the Bell Eater.

Although it's not exactly a reward, you can use the Bell Beast or fast travel again after defeating the Bell Eater since it seems like the Bell Eater prevents you from using it if it's active.
