Having the Threadstorm ability allows you to cast a wide AoE attack which is incredibly useful in battles that challenge you to maneuver around tight spaces.
Given the small room you have to work with, the Warding Bell tool can shield you from attacks that you cannot dodge while you heal. Any attacks that connect with your shield will instantly get countered, unleashing a powerful shockwave that hits any enemy within the vicinity.
The Reaper Crest's slow but stronger moveset is also very effective during this fight. The crescent slash move, which replaces Hornet's pogo attack, in particular has wide coverage and can hit multiple objects if you find yourself surrounded.
If you are unable to get the Reaper Crest, you can also consider using the Wanderer's Crest. This crest's attack patterns is most alike to the original moveset from Hollow Knight. Although a slightly shorter range, your attacks are quicker and the downward slash makes the pogo runback a lot easier.

Sister Splinter is a boss located at the upper parts of Shellwood. You will need to defeat her to get to the higher areas where the Cling Grip upgrade is located.

The Sister Spinter can shoot out thorns that will block off parts of the arena, giving you little room to maneuver. Destroy them quickly to have more space to move around and dodge incoming attacks.

Flying enemies may appear in the arena while fighting Sister Splinter. Having them around limits your ability to jump and dash, so defeat them first before you continue targetting the boss.

Thread Storm unleashes a powerful AoE attack, hurting any enemy that gets caught in your threads. Given the limited space, this ability will be very useful in this fight.
Thread Storm can be obtained by interacting with a statue found north of Craw Lake in Greymoor.
List of All Skills and Effects
Equipping the Warding Bell allows you to deflect enemy attacks while you heal. If you find yourself with nowhere to go and little time to dodge, you use your heal to form a shield around you—reflecting attacks back at enemies.
Thorns shoot down from above, blocking off parts of the arena. They can be destroyed by hitting them.
Sister Splinter raises her hands then does 3 consecutive slashes.
Flying enemies will fall down from above and try to target Hornet.

After defeating Sister Splinter, you will be able to access the path to the right. From there, keep ascending until you reach the topmost part of Shellwoods where you can get the Cling Grip upgrade from the spider effigy.
Cling Grip allows you to do Wall Jumps and reach higher areas.

The guide says to use the reaper crest, threadstorm and warding bell… Don’t bother using the recommended gear. I found the fractured mask and used that in the sister splinter fight… it took 1 minute and 50 seconds to beat her. If you want to use the recommended gear go ahead, just gonna warn ya, it’ll take a while.
