Trobbio is a boss located in Whispering Vaults in Hollow Knight: Silksong. See a loadout you can use to beat Trobbio, its attack patterns, and how to navigate the run back in this guide!

Trobbio is a fast-paced boss that will only get more aggressive as it gets injured. This makes the Threadstorm ability incredibly useful in this fight, since its wide AoE can help keep a good distance between you and Trobbio if it gets too close.
If you have the Pollip Pouch, when you consume the Flea Brew, you will temporarily trail around a poison cloud. Given how you will always move around the room, you can use this combo to give Trobbio chip damage as you evade his flurry of attacks.
We also recommend bringing the Magnetite Dice which gives you breathing room if you do slip up by letting you tank hits without any damage.
The Reaper Crest's slow but stronger moveset will be very effective during this fight. The crescent slash in particular has a wider coverage and can make landing hits a lot easier.
Alternately, the Architect Crest is a good offensive crest especially for enclosed arenas like Trobbio's. While it does remove the slot for your Silk Skill, it replaced it with another Red Tool slot, allowing you to maximize on tools during the fight.
You can also use Delver's Drill once you're above him after dodging his tornado attack. This will require a bit of timing and precision, but worth the damage when executed perfectly.
Ascendant's Grip also works well during this boss fight, as it allows you to take shelter on the top walls during his AoE attacks and heal yourself when needed.
It is also recommended that you get 2 needle upgrades before fighting Trobbio so that you can increase your overall attack damage.

The area is initially inaccebile when you first head to the Choral Chambers. You can only get to Trobbio's Stage after defeating the Cogwork Dancers.

Attack Trobbio's Head When in Tornado Mode
You can attack Trobbio when he's on his Tornado Form by slashing on his head. This is most effective if he's diving down on you and you have to evade anyway, so make use of this moment to get some damage on him.
Use Delver's Drill During Tornado Mode
You can try using Delver's Drill against Trobbio while he's using his Tornado Mode. Be sure to time it perfectly, given that missing the target will result to you being vulnerable to Trobbio's attacks.

Ascendant's Grip can also provide as a sort of temporary refuge against Trobbio's attacks, enabling you to stay on the top walls and heal when necessary while the area is being flooded with Trobbio's AoE attacks.

When you consume the Flea Brew while having the Pollip Pouch equipped in your crest, you will temporarily emit a Poison Cloud that will follow you around wherever you go.

If you have the Magnetite Dice equipped, there is a chance that you will take zero damage after you get hit by an attack. This effect happens at random, but it can save you during crucial moments.

Use Thread Storm AoE If They Get Close

Deadly Weaver technique. Cast the needle in a whirl of Silk around oneself, lashing foes. |
Thread Storm unleashes a powerful AoE attack, hurting any enemy that gets caught in your threads. Given the limited space, this ability will be very useful in this fight.
Thread Storm can be obtained by interacting with a statue found north of Craw Lake in Greymoor.

Attack When Trobbio is Down
After damaging Trobbio for a bit, he will get stunned and you can wail at him with your needle. We recommend just going on the offensive over healing if you want the fight to go faster.

Phase 1 Attacks
Spin Tornado
Trobbio spins around for a bith and then then releases two tornadoes that release from both sides that shoot up.
Lateral Bombs
Trobbio throws around bombs that explode in either a horizontal or vertical pattern. You can predict where and how they will explode by the smoke they produce before exploding.
Dazzling Fireworks
Trobbio will take to the air and flash a bright light and create a small explosion around him. This will then summon circles of sparkly fireworks that will explode. Try to get out of the circle's range as they explode.
Stage Trapdoor Manipulation
Trobbio will pop in and out of the bottom of the stage by different trapdoors. You can get damaged if you manage to step on this, so make sure to pay attention to the ground.

Trapdoor Lasers
The trapdoors will now release lasers that shoot upward similar to the bombs. You can easily tell where these will appear but Trobbio will also be able to pop up from one of these to attack you so stay on guard.
