For this boss, you want to keep your distance as much as possible, so bring the Silk Spear ability to deal damage from afar.
Disgraced Chef Lugoli can summon muckmaggot balls that, if you come into contact with, can infect your threadspool. This prevents you from using Silk abilities until you bind, which will not restore any masks.
To avoid wasting your silk, equip the Wreath of Purity, which will repel muckmaggot infections. Keep in mind that this tool can break if it is exposed to too many muckmaggots, but it can easily be repaired by sitting on a bench.
Combining the Pollip Pouch with the Cogfly allows you to inflict poison damage without needing to get close to Lugoli. The Silkshot (Twelfth Architect) is also a useful projectile tool that can be used from a distance.
If you get hit while the Magnetite Dice is equipped in your crest, there is a chance that you will take zero damage. However, this effect occurs randomly, but it can still save you during crucial moments.
The Reaper Crest replaces Hornet's attack with a crescent slash, which has a higher hit range and can make pogo-ing off enemies a lot easier.
You can also bring the Architect Crest into this fight if you already have it unlocked. The Architect Crest has 3 Red Tool Slots, but in exchange, you won't be able to use any Silk Skills. Luckily, with this crest equipped, you will be able to craft tools without a bench, so you don't have to worry about running out of projectiles. This playstyle firmly encourages you to be more aggressive with using your tools, which is helpful in a fight where distance is the key.

Do Not Stay in One Place For Too Long
While fighting Disgraced Chef Lugoli, do not stay in one place for too long. Disgraced Chef Lugoli's moves are not only fast and sudden, but he also summons muckmaggot balls that can infect your Silk Gauge if you get hit.
For this boss, you want to keep moving constantly. Attack him with one strike at a time then dash away quickly before he makes his next move.
Use Tools That Attack From a Distance
Bring tools that can strike from afar so you can maintain your distance without losing any damage uptime. Tools like the Cogfly or the Silkshot (Twelfth Architect) would be ideal for this battle.
Do Not Go Into Corners
Avoid trapping yourself in the far edges of the arena. If you go into a corner, Lugoli's attacks and large size can make it difficult to dodge.
Use Wreath of Purity to Repel Muckmaggots

The Wreath of Purity can prevent infection from the muckmaggot balls.
Normally, when you get infected by muckmaggots, you will be unable to use your ability. To cure, you will need to fill your entire Silk Gauge then bind. This will shake away all the maggots, but it will not regenerate any masks.
With the help of the Wreath of Purity, you can be protected without wasting any Silk.
Upgrade Your Threadspool
Before going into this fight, consider getting your threadspool upgraded to hold more Silk. If you get infected, you will need to expend your entire Silk Gauge to remove the muckmaggots.
If your threadspool is long enough, you can have enough Silk to use your abilities even after curing your infection.

Disgraced Chef Lugoli tries to hit Hornet with his rear. If he hits the ground, it may dislodge muckmaggot balls.
Swing
Disgraced Chef Lugoli swings his ladle. If it hits the floor, 2 muckmaggot balls will jump out.
Slam
Disgraced Chef Lugoli slams on the ground, causing 4 muckmaggot balls to jump out.
Dive AoE
Disgraced Chef Lugoli dives down the middle, causing 2 waves of muckmaggot balls to erupt from the ground.

Sinner's Road Using the Faydown Cloak
Disgraced Chef Lugoli can be found in one of the rooms at Sinner's Road. However, to get inside the room, you will need the Feydown Cloak in order to double jump and reach the path leading upwards.
