The Unravelled is a boss located in Whiteward in Hollow Knight: Silksong. See a loadout you can use to beat The Unravelled, its attack patterns, and rewards here!

✎ Press on either Silk Skills, Tools, or Crests to see a full list of each!
Thread Storm is recommended for this fight since you'll mainly use it to kill off the summoned mobs much faster. Also, if you have full health, you can also use Thread Storm to deal more damage against The Unravelled.
Flintslate is great for this boss fight since you will want to maximize your needle's damage when you attack The Unravelled after it charges towards you. Cogfly is part of the loadout in order for you to deal additional damage when you're far away from The Unravelled.
For the Blue Tools, the Injector Band allows you to heal much faster, which is useful when you heal during tight situations. The Claw Mirror is part of the loadout simply for you to deal more damage against The Unravelled.
Lastly, for the yellow tools, Magnetite Dice is recommended since it might mitigate damage. The last yellow tool you will bring into battle is flexible; it depends on what you have at this point in the game.
In terms of crests, you can use either the Reaper Crest or Witch Crest for this fight.
The Reaper Crest has a wider range slash that can hit multiple enemies, and has a special effect that can get your Silk up fast so that you can use your Silk Skills sooner.
The Witch Crest also has fast Silk regeneration, and binding unleashes an AoE that can be used to defeat the summoned mobs.

Unravelled is located at the bottom left corner of Whiteward. You need to use the Surgeon's Key to access Unravel's spot. The key is located in the top right section of Whiteward.

The key lock where you will use the Surgeon's Key is located just above The Unravelled's boss room!

During the mob rounds, you can use Thread Storm to clear out the room as soon as possible. Building up Silk is not a problem during this boss fight since you will have a lot of opportunities to attack The Unravelled when it does its charge attack.

For the majority of the boss fight, The Unravelled will just be spamming its charge attack. With this, be prepared to jump once you see it charging towards you. Do note that you can land a couple of hits after the charge attack and its definitely when The Unravelled is most vulnerable.

When The Unravelled emerges at the left or right end of the boss room, there's a high chance that it will be using its projectile attack, regardless of the phase. With this, we recommend going in the opposite direction immediately so you have more time to dodge the projectiles!

While The Unravelled will be spamming more Spears as it's about to die, just take note that wherever a spear emerges, it will also shoot down at the same location.

| Phase 1 | Phase 2 |
The Unravelled will emerge from the ground, charging in the direction it's facing. The Unravelled will also use this attack during Phase 2.
The Unravelled will emerge from the left or right side of the room, spitting out two projectiles with fixed trajectories.
The Unravelled will summon multiple spears from the ground, spinning in the air for a while, and then shooting down directly from where it emerged.
The same projectile attack in Phase 1 but with three projectiles and different trajectories.
Beating The Unravelled will give you one Silk Heart. Silk Hearts automatically restore Silk when it hits zero. This is available passively after acquiring your first Silk Heart from Bell Beast!

Wanderers is 100% better than reaper in this case, and im a reaper abuser. Reaper is too slow, and only gets comfortably 1 hit on punish time bc of the boss' low dmg window. wanderer comfortably does two. no need for the passive silk regen on reaper bc wanderer's fast atkspd IS that passive. and more comfortable.
