This is a walkthrough for Heart of the Woods in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Check out a complete step-by-step guide on how to complete Heart of the Woods and progress the story to get the Pollen Heart.

| 1 |  Make your way to the Grand Gate and use Silk Soar on the spot where the elevator heading to the Underworks used to be.  Hit the lever to access the next area.  Glide to a spot on the left wall and break the rubble to enter a small passageway.  Drop down and cut the vines to reach a hidden area in Shellwood. |
| 2 |  Drop down the new area and break the vines on the right to open a shortcut to the Underworks.  Hop up the large pillar and break the chain above to create a passage down on the floor.  Make your way across the spike floor and pogo up to the upper area.  Jump up to reach the next area.  Before heading left, cut the vines to the right to create a shortcut to the previous area. |
Geting the Pollen Heart

| 1 |  Speak to Seth and challenge him to a fight. You need to defeat him to get access to the Shellwood Shrine. ► Seth Boss Guide  Head left and enter Shellwood Shrine.  Stand in front of the shrine and use the Needolin to play the Elegy of the Deep to enter the memory. |
| 2 |  Once inside the memory, head left and drop down to reach Nyleth's arena.  You'll need to defeat Nyleth to get the Pollen Heart. The boss is mostly stationary, but will move between the two walls. Eventually, Nyleth will destroy the floor on the stage which means you'll need to pogo and wall hop during the fight to avoid getting hit. ► Nyleth Boss Guide  Once you leave the memory, grab the Pollen Heart from the shrine. |

Time Your Attacks
Seth moves around the arena a lot throughout the fight, making it hard to hit him. However, in between his movements and attacks, there will be brief time windows where you can attack freely.
Instead of trying to chase him around just to hit him, wait for him to finish an attack or stop moving, then use the time window to deal damage. You can either just attack with your weapon, or use your throwing tools to deal damage.
Scatter Traps Across the Ground
Another strategy you can do to win the fight is to scatter traps across the ground. Since Seth moves around a lot, placing multiple traps on the ground is a great way to exploit his movements.
You just need to lure him to the traps while also dodging his attacks.

Get Aggressive Before the Platform Collapses
You'll start out on a platform that allows you to get close to Nyleth once the fight begins. However, the platform will eventually collapse, forcing you to keep wall jumping to attack and dodge.
Given this, it's best to take advantage of the platform and deal as much damage as possible before it collapses. If you equipped Cogfly, use it immediately at the start of the fight since it's easier for you to get close to Nyleth, maximizing the damage you'll do before the platform collapses.
Stay On the Opposite Side of the Boss
Once the platform collapses, you'll be forced to do wall jumps to attack and dodge. If you fall, you'll get hit by the thorns at the bottom of the arena.
Given this, you have to always stay at the opposite side of where she's positioned since that side won't have thorns on it, allowing you to hang on the wall.
Additionally, Nyleth will occasionally do an attack that puts her at the other side of the arena. When this happens, you just have to move over to the side she came from.
Do a Double Jump to Attack
Since you'll be constantly hanging on the wall opposite of Nyleth for majority of the fight, you'll have to be precise when you want to attack.
A simple strategy you can do to win the fight is to start at the opposite side of where Nyleth is positioned while wall jumping constantly to prevent falling. If you want to attack, do a Double Jump towards the boss and deal as much damage as possible using skills, tools, and attacks.
