Seth is a boss located in Grand Gate in Hollow Knight: Silksong. See a loadout you can use to beat Seth, and its attack patterns in this guide!

Seth moves around the arena and attacks incredibly fast, forcing you to always be on the move just to hit him or dodge his attacks. However, you can exploit some of his attack and movement patterns with tools to help you win.
At the least, you'd want to have one throwing tool, one trap tool, and one defensive tool. However, you can also equip Volt Filament to enhance your Skill damage or Cogfly for passive damage.
For throwing tools, you can choose between Straight Pin or Threefold Pin. You'll mostly use the throwing tools to hit Seth from a safe range, especially while he's moving around.
For trap tools, you can choose between Sting Shard or Tacks. Just lay traps across the arena and draw Seth to the them.
As for defensive tools, Fractured Mask and/or Warding Bell will be enough for the fight.
Select either the Hunter Crest or the Repear Crest to have the tool slots for the loadout. They have the same base and upgraded tool slots, so it just boils down to which moveset you prefer.
Seth Location
Southwest of the Grand Gate
Seth is located southwest of the Grand Gate, just before Nyleth's arena.
Grants Access to Nyleth Boss Fight
After defeating Seth, you'll now have access to Nyleth's location to fight the boss.

Time Your Attacks
Seth moves around the arena a lot throughout the fight, making it hard to hit him. However, in between his movements and attacks, there will be brief time windows where you can attack freely.
Instead of trying to chase him around just to hit him, wait for him to finish an attack or stop moving, then use the time window to deal damage. You can either just attack with your weapon, or use your throwing tools to deal damage.
Scatter Traps Across the Ground
Another strategy you can do to win the fight is to scatter traps across the ground. Since Seth moves around a lot, placing multiple traps on the ground is a great way to exploit his movements.
You just need to lure him to the traps while also dodging his attacks.

Lunge Attack

Seth performs a lunging attack followed by a stationary stab attack. You need to jump behind Seth when he's lunging forward to dodge the both attacks.
Pounce Attack

Seth pounces forward while swinging his sword, then does another slash in place. You need to jump behind Seth once he jumps backwards to dodge the attack.
Rising Slash

Seth first swings his sword in front, then performs an upward attack. You just need to move away from Seth once you see him wind up his blade for the attack.
Dive Attack

Seth teleports or jumps in the air, pauses briefly, then dives down diagonally with his shield. You just need to move to the opposite direction of where Seth is facing when he's in the air to dodge the attack.

Seth throws his shield foward at high speed, then quickly catches it mid-flight. You just need to jump fast to avoid getting hit by the shield.
Shield Bounce

Seth jumps in the air, throws his shield to the ground at an angle, then catches it as it bounces back up. You only need to move away from the shield's path as it travels to avoid getting hit.
