How to Beat Rhinogrund
Maintain a Distance
Maintain a distance from Rhinogrund to better anticipate its attacks. As its attacks are slow and predictable, maintaining a distance allow players to comfortably and consistently perform punishes with less risks of taking damage.
Avoid Being Cornered
Note to avoid being cornered while maintaining a distance from Rhinogrund. Rhinogrund often moves to either ends of the room, easily trapping Hornet between it and the wall.
Use Pogo to Counterattack
When Rhinogrund is charging at Hornet, jump then pogo to both dodge and deal damage.
Use Cross Stitch to Parry and Counter
With its predictable attack patterns, Cross Stitch becomes a lot easier to use, able to both stagger and deal massive damage that can end the fight quickly.

Rhinogrund Attack Patterns
Ram Attack
Rhinogrund charges towards the Hornet until it reaches the end of the room. Can be avoided via jumping and punish via pogo.
Sommersault
Rhinogrund briefly pauses in place, then performs a front flip. Refrain from jumping to avoid this move.
Rock Fling
Rhinogrund burrows its horn in the ground, then flings multiple rocks towards the direction it's facing. Avoid by creating a larger distance between Hornet and Rhinogrund or heading behind it before it flings the rocks.

Hidden Room Near the Bellway in Far Fields

A Rhinogrund can be found in the hidden room near the Bellway in Far Fields. Enter the secret passage below the right platform of the Bellway to reveal the path towards Rhinogrund.
Trigger the bomb to create an updraft, then follow the path to find a platforming challenge involving multiple flying enemies and a thorny terrain. Another updraft can be encountered in the end that leads to the secret room where Rhinogrund is found.
Inside Pilgrim's Rest in Far Fields
A Rhinogrund can be found inside Pilgrim's Rest in Far Fields after destroying its door mechanism. Note that the bench and shop inside Pilgrim's rest is inaccessible until Rhinogrund is defeated.
Room Above the Bench in Memorium
A Rhinogrund can be located in the room above the bottom left bench in Memorium. It is found at the far right end of the corridor accompanied by flying enemies.
