Since the Palestag will keep teleporting in specific spots around the arena, tools that have target-tracking mechanics or traps that can be set quickly and deal a lot of damage will be the most effective in the fight.

Cogfly's target-tracking mechanic makes it the best tool against the boss. Pair it with Pollip Pouch and the tool deals more damage via poison. Voltvessels can also work against the boss. You just need to place it in spots where the boss usually teleports to.

Fractured Mask or Warding Bell should be enough for survivability.

Although any crest will work for the fight, Witch Crest's Silk Bind may be good against the boss if you manage to hit it. On the other hand, the Architect Crest allows you to equip more red tools, and its bind effect allows you to restore tool usage so you can spam more tools during the fight.

Use Cogfly and Stay on Top of the Boss

Using Cogfly will be the best strategy against the Palestag due to the tool's target-tracking mechanic. All you need to do is chase the boss around and try to attack it whenever you can. The Cogfly will do most of the work for you.

Light Boomerang

The Palestag summons multiple boomerang-shaped projectiles that travels in a particular path. You just need to move away from the projectiles to dodge the attack.
