Icon How to Use
Name Button Show Names
This button reveals the Name of every icon currently shown.
Show Pins Button Show Pins
This button will toggle between showing and hiding all the pins that you have already marked as acquired.
Full Button Fullscreen
This button will change the map display to fill the screen.
Search Button Search Mode Toggle
This button will display a search bar which you can use to search for an individual pin by its name.
Icon Mode Button Icon Mode Toggle
In Search Mode, this button will toggle you back to Icon Mode, removing the search bar and displaying the icons again.
All Pins Button All Pins
This button is shown along with the Icons on the right when there are over 6 types of pins. Click it for a full selection of all available pin types.
Interactive Map Counter Counter
Tracks the number of pins you have of a certain type. The pin type shown is set to the page and currently cannot be changed; however, all pin type counters can be viewed by clicking the checklist icon on the right side.

This icon is found on the right side of the Counter. When a map has more than one pin type, click this icon to see Counters for all pin types.

A Memory Locket can be collected in the upper area of The Marrow once you unlock the Cling Grip. Go to the top northwest area and head into the room on the right where a narrow opening going up can be seen.

There is a Memory Locket that can be found in Greymoor. It can be found to the right of the Moorwing boss location past the floor fan. Keep heading to the right where you will see the item by the floor in the upper area of the room.

Hidden in Halfway Home. Obtain the Faydown Cloak (Double Jump Ability) then jump onto the ledge to the left of Creige and go further inside to find the item.

You can find a Memory Locket on a platform in a dark passageway located in Blasted Steps. This can be found past the hanging bells where you need to pogo around. Head down after crossing the area and avoid the falling rocks to get to the item.

From the bench on the top of Wormways, keep heading down to the bottom. Once you reach the final section, head to the left and continue descending until you reach a dead end to the right.

The Slab Memory Locket

Obtain the Faydown Cloak ability (Double Jump) to get up here and into the cave. There will be a breakable wall that opens up to a room where the Memory Locket can be found.

Found at the top of the large room where a corpse can be found on the ground. Hit the golden balls to activate temporary platforms that you can use to reach the area.

Found in the leftmost area of the room. Can be reached by using Faydown Cloak and Drifter's Cloak to navigate around the thorns.

Located in a room above a hot air vent. Use the bubbles to pogo across the room going to the left. Then, wait for the hot air to pass before going up the area towards the item.

Break the two bags hanging from the ceiling past the pool of bile water. The Memory Locket can be collected from the corpse.

Found at the top of a small vertical area in the hidden room at the right side of Whispering Vaults. Pull the levers below and activate the fan using the button to go up the narrow space and reach the Memory Locket. Going to the left will give you access to the item, whereas going to the right will unlock the rest of Songclave.

Located in a small room accessible at the top part of Underworks.

From the Sauna room with the bench, go down into the next room. Find a breakable wall on the left side, then go into the next room. Float down the path, taking care not to touch the spikes along the way, and find it on a small platform at the bottom.

To reach this, you need to go through the Underworks and take the back path to the Grand Bellway. Before the entrance into Grand Bellway, there is some rubble on the left that you can break to pick it up off a corpse. This area is also accessed by passing through the Exhaust Organ to get to Choral Chambers.

Which Crests to Upgrade First

Wanderer Crest for the Early Game

Hollow Knight Silksong - Wanderer Crest Location

The Wanderer Crest is great to upgrade in the early game since it's a lot easier to use due to its similarities with the Knight's moveset. The Crest removes the diagonal downwards attack, making it better to pogo with in the overworld.

Reaper Crest for the Mid Game

The Reaper Crest is a bit slower, but a lot more rewarding for its improved Silk regen and wider attacks. It is worth picking up if you use your skills a lot more while fighting against enemies.

How to Use the Memory Locket

Memory Locket Guide
1. Go to the Crest Menu
2. Select the Type of Crest and Tool to Expand
3. Hold the Button Shown to Expand Crest

Go to the Crest menu to see the different Crests that can be expanded with the Memory Locket.

2. Select the Type of Crest and Tool to Expand

Select the Crest

When using the Memory Locket, you will be choosing which Crest to expand. Each circle corresponds to a Tool type and expanding them costs Memory Lockets that cannot be refunded.

Do note that using a Memory Locket will only expand the Crest you selected. Make sure to check which one you're upgrading to avoid not being able to use your Tools.

3. Hold the Button Shown to Expand Crest

Hold the Z Button

After selecting the Crest you will be expanding, hold the button shown until the circle turns into the corresponding symbol. Once finished, you may add a Tool to use when sitting on a bench.

There's one at the top of Bellhart in act 3, Use Silksore up to where the ladder hanging.
