Bell Beast Location
Trapped in Silk At the Marrow
The Bell Beast is the second main boss you will encounter in Hollow Knight: Silksong. The Bell Beast is located at The Marrow, stuck in a silk trap by the entrance. You will need to free it by obtaining the Silkspear upgrade in Mosshome.
How to Free the Bell Beast
To free the Bell Beast, head in the opposite direction towards Mosshome. Instead of dropping down into the Mosshome village, jump on the platforms heading towards the upper left. Afterwards, take the path upwards.
Once you reach the next area, go right and use the platforms to get to the top. Once you are on the topmost level, head left and interact with the spider effigy to awaken the Silkspear.
The Silkspear allows you to throw your needle in a direction, hitting enemies and objects without getting close. You can use this to free the Bell Beast. Be warned that freeing the Bell Beast will trigger its boss fight.

Pogo Over the Bell Beast When it Dashes on the Ground
When the Bell Beast is dashing towards you, jump then pogo off its back to land an extra hit. You can pogo by slashing downwards while in mid-air.
Keep in mind that Hornet can only pogo diagonally. She cannot hit the Bell Beast when it is directly underneath her, so you will need to jump a little early if you want to be able to land the hit.
Move Inwards When it Jumps Over
When there is a large shaking coming from the ground, that means the Bell Beast is going to jump across the arena. Instead of running in the same direction, move inwards towards where the Bell Beast originally emerged. Do not get too close since you can still get hit by its head when it pops out.
Afterwards, run towards where the Bell Beast lands. There will be a few frames where you will be able to land a hit before it burrows back into the ground.
Jump Over the Bells
If you see shaking in the middle, run to the sides. The Bell Beast will emerge with two large bells. When it dives back in, jump over the bells as they roll towards you.

The Bell Beast emerges from the ground and dashes towards Hornet.
Jump
The Bell Beast jumps from one end of the arena to the other.
Rolling Bells
The Bell Beast emerges in the middle with two large bells. The bells will roll outwards towards both ends of the arena after the Bell Beast retreats to the ground.
Phase 2 Attacks
Falling Bells
When its health is depleted half-way, the Bell Beast will dig down and cause a small earthquake. From this point forward, you will need to look out for falling bells while dodging the Bell Beast's attacks.
Bell Beast Rewards
Fast Travel Unlock
After defeating the Bell Beast, you will unlock Fast Travel. If you keep heading to the right of the arena, a brief cutscene will play between you and the Bell Beast. Once it ends, you will be able to Fast Travel between Bone Bottom and The Marrow, alongside other future stations that you may unlock.
