For +1 Blue, Unlock a total of 20 tool slots via Memory Lockets and acquiring new Crests Silk Skill slots count towards the total, but unlocking slots on the Hunter crest does not.
According to https://hollowknight.wiki/w/Category:Crests_and_Skills#Vesticrest you need 12 unlocked slots for Yellow and 20 for Blue and that the Hunter crest slots do not count, but the ones that are already unlocked in the other crests do. This tracks with my experience.
to get blue vesticrest you need use to use 6 lockets at (blue) and 5 total crest
For the yellow, despite some people in the comments saying it's wrong, I think the "use 3 lockets" is actually a requirement, but perhaps there's a second requirement linked to total amount of crests like there is for the blue vesticrest. I had 2 memory lockets used, when i reached this. I used one more (3 total), and then I was offered the yellow vesticrest. So I think i had 4 total crests unlocked at the moment.
WRONG, just fully unlocked reaper's crest (aka 3 memory lockets used) and nothing. if only they had comments visible without clicking on it
i think its a combo of lockets used, and masks/spools completed
There has to be more than just the memory lockets for the first one, I've already used 5 to fully unlock hunter and wanderer and she didn't give me it
Yeah. I had used 5 crests and used 4 Memory lockets. Used 4 more lockets and went to EVA and did not get the upgrade. Used one more locket and got the yellow slot. So 5 crests and 9 total Memory lockets used.
So for me getting 5 Crest got me the Extra Yellow slot 🟡 and then using 6 Memory Fragments got me the Extra Blue slot 🔵
me neither, just wasted 3 memory lockets, having used 3 already
i dont think requirements for the yellow slot for vesticrest is memory lockets used
