Collect Water from Dew Patches

Optimal Harvest

Water can be harvested from Dew Patches using Dew Reapers and Scythes, as long as you have Literjons. Water collection efficiency varies depending on the time of day, which can be seen while pressing or holding the T button.

Aim to collect water while the time of day is Blue, as this is the Optimal Harvest Time for Dew Collection.

Aim For The Industrial Dew Scythe Mk4

The Industrial Dew Scythe Mk4 is a far superior tool for the mid-to-late game and is recommended over Dew Reapers. While these are more costly for both materials and power usage, they harvest significantly more water than Dew Reapers.

Save for a Decaliterjon

Decaliterjon

The Decaliterjon is an Aluminum product that can store up to 10,000 ml of Water. Try to earn the materials needed for this, as it is equivalent to 10 Literjons and will save you time for water management.

Get Water from Blood

Blood Purifier

You can get water from blood by extracting it from enemies and then purifying it later. Blood Purifiers can extract this resource, which can be directly drunk from the refinery or stored in Literjons.

We recommend crafting better Blood Extractors and Bloodsacks to collect more Blood for carrying. Try to get Medium Bloodsacks and the Blood Extractor Mk4. Note that you can store multiple Bloodsacks in your inventory

An Improved Blood Purifier is also available for research and building, so we suggest building that as soon as possible.

Drinking Blood Directly Will Reduce HP

Drink Blood

Blood can be used for rehydration directly at the cost of reducing your maximum HP temporarily. This is a good emergency resource to avoid dehydration, especially when exploring.

Be wary, however, as losing maximum HP can be costly, especially in the game's earlier stages without shields.

Wear Stillsuits to Recycle Water

Stillsuit Catchpocket

Stillsuits are clothing sets that can be worn to provide additional water sources for players. Stillsuits have catchpockets that recycle water and can be drank again when needed.

An indicator at the left of the hydration levels will show the water recycled by the stillsuits. To drink this water, you may press the F Button and rehydrate.

Stay in Watersealed Bases

Watersealed

When going AFK, we recommend staying at your bases as these are watersealed and will retain the moisture you expel.

Water is minimally used in your base, so you can stay there without rehydrating. Note that if there is prolonged inactivity, servers will automatically kick you out.

Hide from the Sun

Staying out in the sun will cause you to get a sunstroke. Sunstrokes increases your dehydration rate and are indicated by a bar above your character.

Whenever this bar builds up, try to go to where there is shade and stick to objects' shadows.

Water Discipline

Water Discipline is a core mechanic in Dune: Awakening that affects your stamina and health. Hydration Levels are divided into three levels.

If your water level exceeds one-third, your maximum stamina will increase. This will further increase if your water levels exceed two-thirds, reaching up to 1.5 times your stamina bar.

Dehydration

If your water levels are empty, your character will experience Dehydration. This negative status will gradually reduce your health until you rehydrate with water.
