Private Server Features
Players Can Customize Gameplay
Private servers offer advantages to players as they technically own a portion of Arrakis without considering random players. Your private server will allow you to change Dune: Awakening's gameplay to some extent.
The following features can be customized by the player renting the server:
- Limit The Players Who Can Join
- Choose Not To Have Taxes
- Turn off Sandstorms
- Control PvP and PvE Gameplay
Private Servers Are Connected
To retain the large-scale multiplayer experience and world structure the developers are going for, all private servers will share social hubs and the Deep Desert.
So, while you may generally customize gameplay to have a limited number of players, tradeposts and The Deep Desert will not be affected by the player limit.

You may rent a private server from third-party providers. The officially recognized providers by Funcom are GPORTAL, Nitrado, and xREALM.
Choose The Server Location
After choosing the third-party provider to host your private server, choose the Server Location. We recommend choosing the location with the lowest ping as this will affect how smoothly you can play Dune: Awakening on the server.
Decide What You Want To Have
Once you finish choosing the provider and server location, you will be able to customize your experience for Arrakis. Avail them according to your preference.
