The Impact of Ecology Walkthrough
1. Enter Imperial Testing Station No. 71
To begin this Contract, head to Imperial Testing Station No. 71, located in the O'odham area, northwest of Mysa Tarill. The entrance to the Testing Station will be embedded into the side of a rock formation.

2. Search the Testing Station for Kynes's Book
Enter the Testing Station, and head down until you reach a circular room with a purple and a blue pentashield blocking two doors. Head into the hallway directly left of the stairs you used to enter.
Proceed through this hallway until you reach enemies; defeat them, and search the area to find a Blue ID Band. Return to the circular room and enter pass through the Blue Pentashield, then take out the enemies here as well. This time, look for the Purple ID Band.
3. Take the Lexicon of Ecology
With the Purple ID Band, pass through the Purple Pentashield into the deepest part of the Testing Station. You will arrive at an even larger circular room filled with enemies. Take them out, then get the needed book from a small cubby on the right side of the room.
4. Return to Jocasta
Head to Harko Village, and you'll notice that Jacosta is not around her usual spot. Speak to the NPC near the donkey, and he will tell you about the mercenaries after her.

5. Question the Clientele at Hannivar's
Next, head to Hannivar's in Harko Village. Then look for the Syndicate Mercenary in the corner of the room, and speak with him. Buy him a Melange Spiced Beer from the bar, then speak to him again and ask about Jocasta.

6. Go to the Ambush Location in the O'odham
After finding out the details, head to the above spot in the O'odham, north of Imperial Testing Station No. 71. Be ready to fight enemies upon arriving.
7. Clear the Area
Be careful when clearing out the area, as it is an open space without a lot of cover, and enemies will be shooting from multiple directions. Don't hesitate to use rocks as cover when you need to heal.
8. Find Jocasta Hiding Nearby
Once all enemies have been defeated, go south and follow the Quest Marker to a new location. There will be one more wave of enemies waiting for you here. Defeat them, then find Jocasta hiding in some cacti by the walls of the rock formations.
9. Hand Over the Book to Jocasta in Harko Village
To complete this Contract, head back to Harko Village after speaking with Jocasta. She will appear back here now; hand the book over to her to be done with the Contract.
