Best Skills to Unlock Early

Shigawire Claw

The Shigawire Claw is the best skill to unlock early. Having this skill makes it easier to climb mountains, saving you a ton of stamina and climbing time.

You can unlock the Shigawire Claw by completing the Proving Grounds contract from the Ghavouri at the Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

Best Skills for Exploration

Shigawire Claw (Trooper)

The Shigawire Claw is a great starting skill as it gives a bit of vertical mobility, making it easier to scale cliffs and mountains.

Suspensor Pad and Mountaineer (Planetologist)

The Suspensor Pad launches you in the air allowing you to scale mountains faster while saving stamina. Pair this with the Mountaineer skill to find footholds on cliffs to save stamina further.

Bindu Sprint (Bene Gesserit)

The Bindu Sprint is another great starting skill for the Bene Gesserit, as it allows you to cover great distances via sprinting. Do note that after the use of this skill your stamina will be depleted, not ideal for outrunning sandworms.

Best Skills for Combat

Explosive Grenade (Trooper)

The Explosive Grenade is useful for dealing damage to enemy groups, or for faster clearing of scavenger camps. It has a relatively fast cooldown which allows you to pair it with shooting.

Knee Charge and Deflection (Swordmaster)

The Knee Charge acts as a moblity skill that deals massive damage. At the starting area this skill can instantly kill unshielded enemies. The only downside for this skill is its long cooldown, which makes it balanced.

Deflection is a must have skill if you're focusing on melee combat. This skill allows you to even the playing field against ranged enemies, blocking their projectiles as you close in.

Sentinel (Mentat)

The Sentinel is a great starting skill of the Mentat, as it provides a passive damage boost that deals a ton of damage to most enemies. The only downside is it's not that useful against shielded enemies.

Ignore and Compell (Bene Gesserit)

The Bene Gesserit's Ignore skill is a straight up hack, allowing you to attack enemies as they remain oblivious to your presence.

A great skill to pair with Ignore is Compel, as it calls enemies to your location, allowing you to attack multiple enemies while you remain unseen.
