Choose a Preset
Choose a preset to start customizing your character. Note that these presets are not locked; you can drastically change their appearance through the sliders.
Adjust the Sliders and Preferred Appearances
Once you have chosen a preset, please review the sliders and adjust them according to your tastes. With the use of sliders, you can change your character preset's appearance in subtle ways or completely change its look.
Create a Name
The name creation has a limit of 20 characters. It can only include letters, numbers, and up to 4 special characters (' -). Other rules include:
- The special characters must be placed between two letters or numbers.
- There shouldn't be more than two numbers in a row.
- No Profanity or Offensive language
- Must not include reserved words.
Choose Your Background
After completing your character's appearance and name, a cutscene will play where Reverend Mother interrogates you. There are no right or wrong answers to the question; it's only designed for you to shape your background. You'll be asked about the following:
Choosing your Homeworld and Caste will provide unique dialogue options for you, depending on your choices. While choosing your Mentor, you determine your class and starting ability.
If you wish to change any of your answers, you can choose the I wish to recant
option at the end of the interrogation.

Homeworlds provide players with a unique Dialogue Trait and Emote. Note that this does not change the gameplay and is based on players' preferences.

The Caste options during the Character Creation page have little to no effect on the gameplay experience for most players. While specific dialogues come up based on Caste, these are minor changes to the flow of the story.

Shigawire Claw Shigawire Claw You use a wrist-mounted launcher to fire off a claw attached to a cable of shigawire. The extreme tensile strength of shigawire launches you in the direction of the cable. It can also be used to stagger opponents during combat.

The starting Mentor affects the early game the most, as players will gain access to the chosen Mentor's class and their corresponding skill trees.
Choose your Mentor well, as this can affect your starting abilities and subsequent skills early on.
