How to Access the Overland Map
Go to the Edge of a Region Using the Ornithopter
Travel to the edge of a region using the Ornithopter until you reach the blue wall. When the prompt appears, choose Confirm to access the Overland Map.
How to Get an Ornithopter Fast
All Locations in the Overland Map
Accessible Locations
| Locations | Description |
|---|---|
| Hagga Basin | The main area where all quests and contracts happen. |
| Harko Village | Social and trading hubs, and home to the Advanced Bene Gesserit Trainer and Advanced Swordmaster Trainer. |
| Arrakeen | Social and trading hubs, and home to the Advanced Mentat Trainer and the Advanced Trooper Trainer. |
| Deep Desert | The main PVP area. Make sure to be on full gear, as everyone is a potential enemy. |
| Water Shipper's Mansion | Accessible during the Water Fat mission. |
| Ruins of Old Carthag | Accessible during the Assassin's Handbook mission. |
| Wreck of the Hephaestus | Accessible during the A Sign From Above mission. |
These are all of the locations you can go to via the Overland Map. Some of the locations can only be unlocked during quest progression.
Press the M Key to See and Track Locations
While on the Overland Map, pressing M opens a full map of the region, displaying all accessible locations. You can select one to track, and an arrow will appear aroud your Ornithopter on the Overland Map to guide you toward the chosen location.
Fuel and Water Deposits Replenish Supplies
Fuel and Water are vital resources for traversing the Overland Map, and both can be found in deposits scattered throughout it. Simply hover over a deposit and wait for the resource gauge surrounding your Ornithopter to fill up.
What is the Overland Map?
Use to Travel to Different Areas of Arrakis
The Overland Map is an even bigger map showing all the different areas of Arrakis that you can travel to, including Hagga Basin, the Deep Desert, Arrakeen, and Harko Village. Moving in the Overland Map costs fuel, while staying on the Overland Map costs water.
Can be Used to Fast Travel to Different Subregions in Hagga Basin
If you leave Hagga Basin from the northern side like the Eastern Shield Wall, you'll appear on the Overland Map north of Hagga Basin. You can re-enter the region from the west, which will place you back into Hagga Basin at Sheol.
