No Offline Play
Dune: Awakening is a Fully Online Game
Dune: Awakening is a fully online game and requires an internet connection to access the servers, and thus cannot be played offline. Even when playing solo, players are required to be connected to their home server at all times because of the game taking place in a shared online world.
Solo Play and Private Servers
Despite not having an all offline option, Dune: Awakening can be played fully solo without the need to interact with other players. As it is an open-world survival game, there are no immediate downsides to completely playing solo, and the game gives you the freedom to play at your own pace, when you want.
Additionally, Funcom is looking into adding private servers in a future update. As of writing, it is currently unknown if private servers will have the option to be played offline. We’ll be sure to update this article once an announcement has been made!
