There are no set difficulties in Dune: Awakening; you cannot change the difficulty. See how difficulty is determined in Dune: Awakening and how you can adjust to each area's difficulty.

Are There Difficulty Levels?

There is No set Difficulty

There is no set difficulty in the game, as the difficulty adjusts depending on the area you're on. Harder areas have increase environmental hazards, as well as well-equipped and smarter enemy AI.

Can You Change Difficulties?

You cannot change difficulties but you can always go to low difficulty areas like the starting area. However, there will be no merit in staying on low difficulty areas as there are less materials.

Difficulty is Tied to Areas

As you progress to areas with better resources, the difficulty also spikes. These difficulty spikes come from increased environmental hazards like increased heat, or harder enemies to fight against.
