As announced on Dune: Awakening's official website, preload will be available 24 hours before launch for all pre-order owners on June 4th, starting 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT. However, please be aware that Standard Edition owners will not be granted head start access despite being able to preload the game.

How to Preload and Pre-Download
Pre-Download from Steam
Players who have pre-ordered the game in any edition are able to preload or predownload the game ahead of release on June 4, 2025, 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT, 24 hours before the servers open for head start access players.
| Step 1 | Firstly, search "Dune: Awakening" on the Steam search bar on the upper right. |

| Step 2 | Select the edition of the game you’d like to get (Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate) and click its respective "Add to Cart" button to be placed in your cart, ready for purchase. |
| Step 3 | You can then view your cart and click "Continue to Payment" to confirm your purchase. |
| Step 4 | After the transaction has gone through successfully, Dune: Awakening will now be available in your Steam Library. |
Pre-Download from PlayStation and Xbox
As the release date for consoles is yet to be determined, pre-downloads for Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are not yet available. We’ll be sure to update this article once a release date and pre-downloads are confirmed!
