Coriolis Storms are planet-wide sandstorms that significantly affect and even alter Dune: Awakening's maps.
These massive sandstorms are major weekly events in the game, signaling the end and start of Landsraad and altering the Deep Desert permanently.

Coriolis Storms act as weekly server wipes in Dune: Awakening, as they clear out all content available in The Deep Desert.
The Deep Desert, or the central PVP Zone in the game, will have its entire map reset. Due to this weekly event, all bases in the area will be destroyed, so plan accordingly when the storm hits!

In Hagga Basin, all resources are reshuffled after the Coriolis Storm hits. As such, materials like ores, stones, and salvaged metal are redistributed in the area.
Note that other material locations like Dew patches, Shipwrecks, and Enemy Camps and Outposts will be retained.
Hagga Basin Map and Location Guide
When the Coriolis storm arrives, the environment will gradually change as you will find winds similar to local sandstorms without taking any damage.
During the storm's peak, you cannot see anything in the open sand. The lack of visibility may potentially lead to you being eaten by a sandworm, so only stick to rock formations whenever possible!

Coriolis storms occur every Monday at 10 AM UTC to reset the central PvP Zone, the Deep Desert. It will destroy anything in its path, including bases built in the area.
These Coriolis Storms will also indicate the start and end of Landsraad every week.
Before the Coriolis Storm hits Arrakis, there will be an in-game announcement when the Coriolis Storm will arrive. Once it arrives, the Coriolis Storm happens across a span of a few hours.
Once it arrives in Arrakis, an in-game announcement will show up stating the Eye of the Storm will reach the area after a few hours.

As these massive sandstorms occur every week, we recommend moving your base to safer PvE areas in Hagga Basin South to avoid the full onslaught of the event.
An hour before the storm hits, make sure to avoid traveling across the Desert as there will be zero visibility once the Coriolis Storm is nearby.
