How to Escape Quicksand
Players may escape quicksand in Dune: Awakening by quickly getting out of their sandbike and using the Vehicle Backup Tool. Learn more about how to escape quicksand with this guide!

How to Escape Quicksand

Exit Your Sandbike Immediately

Exit Vehicle

Once you see your sandbike start to sink, do not try to back out of it as this can cost you precious time. Instead, quickly exit your sandbike and get out of the quicksand.

Use Your Vehicle Backup Tool

Store Vehicle

Immediately equip Vehicle Backup Tool and try to get your sandbike back. Ideally, your sandbike should not have inventory in this situation since this will block you from storing your vehicle.

Though you can get the inventory out if it is not too much, do not risk it if your cargo cannot fit your inventory. Dying to the sandworm will cause you to lose your vehicle and inventory.

Move Out of the Quicksand

Use movement abilities such as Shigawire Claw with a Leap Suspensor Belt to get to safety. Remember, once you get stuck, it increases the chances of the sandworm coming!

Quicksand are areas that will cause you and your vehicle to sink into the sand. You can identify these dangerous areas through your map. Red, striped areas represent Quicksand, so watch out!
