Cold Embers Start Quest Location

The quest begins right after you finish the previous quest, The Warlord's Daughter. After hearing that Eysa is interested in a vault to the north, Havi heads there to find out what it is.

Assassin
Head to Sol-ok-Mani Vault		 Head north-northwest to Sol-ok-Mani Vault, and once you arrive, you'll notice that the gate is closed. You'll need to solve the light puzzle to open it.

Investigate the Vault		 Use Odin's Sight to investigate for clues. One would be right after the entryway, and four more as you go further in. Afterwards, a cutscene occurs.

Head to Eitri		 Head to the southeast side of Eitri, at Jarn Herad. There will be a locked house to the left of the southern entrance. Interact with the locked door facing the inner street.

Find 3 Key Pieces		 Once you interact with the door, you can highlight the Flame-Keeper enemies that hold the Key Pieces. Use Odin's Sight and then hunt each one to get all 3 pieces.

Investigate the house		 Return to the locked house and investigate. There will be clues on all 3 floors, and to not miss any, use Odin's Sight to highlight them.

Head to Gullthorp		 After you collect the clues, a cutscene will occur. Then, head to Gullthorp afterwards, which is north-northeast of Eitri.

Observe the ritual		 In Gullthorp there will be a smithy with a rope attached to its roof. Go on top of that roof and interact at the attachment point of both.

Infiltrate the ritual		 Don a Muspel disguise, and interact with the spot behind Calder. After the cutscene, flee westwards until the quest ends.

Vault Light Puzzle Solution

Switch to Day

Assassin
The light puzzle to continue the quest requires it to be daytime. You can Meditate to pass the time if you arrive here at night. The orb that you need to be active is the one that's not in the middle of a lava pool.

Align the Orb to the Reflector

Assassin
Interact with the light orb and aim it towards the far wall where a reflector is. There is no need to adjust the reflector as it is already properly set.
