This is a guide for the Mastery Challenges in the game Assassin's Creed Valhalla (AC Valhalla). Read on to learn more about the Mastery Challenges and how to get gold medals on all challenges for each shrine!
List of Contents
Mastery Challenges are a set of trials where the player has to complete each trial in a specific way. These trials can be accessed through a Freyja Shrine which will automatically be marked on your map after you beat Hildiran during the quest A Challenge From the Gods.
Each shrine has 3 trials that are split into these categories: Bear Trial for Combat, Wolf Trial for Marksmanship, and Raven Trial for Stealth.
There are a few things you must accomplish before you are able to access the Mastery Challenges. First, you need to be at least Power Level 221 and above. Second, you need to have finished the Main Quest Uninvited Guests after reporting on Grantebridgescire and Ledecestrescire in order to access the next quest A Challenge From the Gods at Ravensthorpe.
If you have completed the prerequisites for the Mastery Challenges, you simply need to go back to Ravensthorpe and head to the quest marker east of the settlement. You will unlock the Mastery Challenges after beating Hildiran while in Hugrheim.
A Challenge From the Gods Walkthrough
In order to unlock two other Freyja Shrines for the Mastery Challenge, you will need to progress through this quest, which begins immediately after completing A Challenge From the Gods.
The Cryptic Tutelage of Hildiran Walkthrough
The player has to complete the trials in a specific way to earn Medals and gain Energy. Subsequently, the Energy from the trials of the Mastery Challenges, are used at Hildiran Wares in Ravensthorpe to purchase exclusive Gear, Settlement Cosmetics, and Tattoo Cosmetics. The rewards for the Mastery Challenges are listed below:

I’m wondering if I carry on after I reach the amount of required points needed for a medal or just end the challenge when I’ve reached the right amount for the medal? I don’t seem to be able to earn the next medal I need now for some reason and wondered if this was why?
