The Rescue Quest Location

Asgardian Gate, Svartalfheim

Assassin
The quest begins as you wake up near an Asgardian Gate, Svartalfheim, where you take control of Odin (Havi) instead of Eivor. The quest before this is Restless Dreams.

No.	Objectives	Guide
1	Follow Frigg	From the start, you'll need to follow Frigg in the search for Baldr, until she says you need to investigate the building. Head up to the second floor.
2	Investigate for clues	Head to the other end of the floor and read the note left there. You can use Odin's Sight to highlight where the clues are. Afterwards, go out for a fight.
3	Head to where Baldr is	Head to the great hall with the throne room in the distance. You'll know you're on the right path when you encounter enemies along the way.
4	Defeat Surtr	After entering, a cutscene occurs. Defeat Surtr, and a series of cutscenes will happen, and you'll wake up as Eivor again, resting under the tree. Check here for tips on how to beat Surtr!

Tips for the Surtr Boss Fight

Dodge Right Away

Assassin
Dodge right away after the cutscene, as you are outside his melee range, and he will attack you with a fast-acting fire explosion from the ground. Take note of this distance as he will repeat it often if you are that far away from him.

Surtr Cannot Be Staggered

Assassin
Surtr doesn't stagger with most of your attacks, so avoid being aggressive by attacking too much. Weave in some dodges into your attacks and pace your stamina!

Dodge Often

Assassin
You will need to dodge as Surtr has a very wide range both in distance and arc. Having the Brush With Death Skill will help you greatly here.

Avoid Fiery Ground

Assassin
Surtr will have attacks that can light up the floor. Avoid these by dodging and repostioning yourself away so you don't accidentally step on these.

Lock-On is Your Friend

Assassin
Since you're only dealing with one enemy, Surtr, it's best to lock on to him and circle around him so you have a good position where you're not in slicing range. You can lock on by pressing L3 or the middle mouse button.
