The quest starts off in Runcwuda Abbey, in England. You play as Brother Aelric, a monk.

Assassin
Follow King Aelfred		 Once you have control, follow Aelfred to Wincestre. There, follow him until you are near the bishop's residence, where he parts ways with you.

Talk to the bishop		 Once you reach the bishop's house, talk to the man near the entryway. Afterwards, go inside and talk to the seated bishop. Answer all of his questions to move the quest along.

Ride to the beacon		 After a cutscene, you will be in control of Aelfred. Follow closely behind your 2 soldiers and let them lead until you reach the beacon.

Aelfred's Legacy End		 Climb up the rock formation and then interact with the beacon to light it up.
You will unlock Valka as an exploration character in Discovery Tour: Viking Age for your troubles.
