Amiens, Francia

You get the quest in Villa of Amiens immediately after completing the previous quest, which is Fire and Faith.

1 Attention You will not be able to use Manual Save during this quest. Tread Carefully!

Look for Charles		 You'll find yourself inside the villa after the events of the previous quest. You'll quickly see a pair of doors in front of you. You'll need two different keys.

Look for Key of Devils		 Head to the room to the left. There will be a key on the table. Pick it up and grab some food here if you're low on health. Then, head to the stairs near this room.

Look for Altar Room Key		 Directly above the room we were in, there will be an unlocked door, and some crates will block the path. Push the crates forward until you can break the wooden planks around you.

Investigate the room for the key		 When you can investigate the room, you will see two vases on a table. Break those first, and then pick up the Altar Room Key on the table.

Use the Altar Room Key		 Once you're outside of the room, turn right and you'll see another room without a door. Head in and you'll see a locked door to your right. Use the key you got here.
Beware the man in this room, as he will light the oil jars!

Look for the Key of Angels		 Head to the back of the room you unlocked. Inside, there will be an altar in the far back with the Key of Angels on it. With both keys, you can now open the double-locked doors.

Fight Charles the Fat		 You'll trigger a cutscene right away after using the keys. Afterwards, you'll get to fight Charles. Win, and you get a cutscene, and the quest ends after.

How to Win Against Charles the Fat

Drag Charles to the Fire

Assassin

Charles doesn't take a lot of damage from your attacks, and you'll need to stun him first so you can drag him to the fire in the braziers. He will take significant damage from this. Repeat this at least three times to defeat Charles.

Relight the Braziers

Assassin

Once Charles gets burned by the braziers the first time, he'll put out one of them with some jars. Light them up again with your torch or your fire abilities like Fire Strike.

What Happens After the Fight

Charles is Killed

Assassin

Charles will perish after the fight, and Richardis will come rushing in. She'll be disappointed in you, but aside from this, there are no other significant changes to your journey in England.

How to Spare Charles

Open the Iron Gate

Assassin

After Charles has taken enough damage, which would be around two opportunities of dragging him into the fire, you can pull down the lever to the left of the iron gate.

Lure Charles to the Newly Opened Room

Assassin

The gate will go up, and now you have access to the room. Stay there until Charles goes in there with you.

Stun Charles and Close the Gate

Assassin

Stun Charles once he's in the room with you. Then quickly close the gate to finish the fight while sparing him. Take note that you might need to stun Charles a bit further back in the room so he doesn't escape.

What Happens After You Spare Charles

Charles is Freed By Richardis

Assassin

Richardis will open the gate, and then he comforts Charles. Eivor then leaves the two alone, but not without promising to return for Charles if Richardis doesn't fulfill her promise of keeping England safe from Francia.

However, this ending brings no other significant changes to your journey in England.
