+Atk/-Res

The best IVs for Mercedes are +Atk and -Res. She can be built as a Gravity+ kiter that sets up kills for bonus units or primary attackers. Thus, any improvement in attack would be useful for her. No bane would be best, but since she can afford to take some points of her high Res, it is a good option for a bane. As soon as you can, get her bane off through merging as Mercedes is not really hard to get.

How to Use, Explanation

A simple Savage Blow 3 set for Mercedes. Make sure to get the Dazzling Staff upgrade so she is protected from most counterattacks. If you cannot afford Atk/Def Bond 4, go for the tier 3 version or anything else that improves both her damage and survivability.

Mercedes is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Mercedes Strengths

Gravity limits enemy movement

Mercedes' Gravity+ prevents target foe and foes within 1 space of target to 1 sace of movement through their next action. This is applied after Mercedes attacks said enemy. If combined with Dazzling Staff and a movement-assist skill from an ally such as Draw Back, Mercedes can continuously kite an enemy while dealing little chunks of damage. This is very useful for setting up kills for your Arena bonus units.

Spd/Res Buff in Aether Raids Defense

AR-D Spd/Res 3 grants Mercedes with a Spd/Res buff depending on the number of defensive structures on your defense map. The highest being +10 and the lowest being +1 This strongly synergizes with her statline and with Odd Res Wave 3. Defend your defensive structures to preserve the strength of Mercedes in a defensive Aether Raid!

Low Def

Mercedes' Def only sits at 22 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Mercedes' positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take him out. We recommend inheriting Dazzling Staff onto her to prevent her from getting attacked. We mentioned said weapon's synergy with Mercedes' Gravity+ above.
