Defeating certain enemies allows you to farm for Evil Crystals. See the table below to learn which enemies drop Evil Crystals.

We recommend defeating the Cursed Bokoblin on the B1 floor of the Ancient Cistern.
There are not many upgrade recipes that require Evil Crystals and they are fairly scattered in chests throughout the game. As long as players are opening these treasure chests there should be no shortage of Evil Crystals.
Towards the end game, players will have the the option to buy Evil Crystals for 100 rupees from the Moonlight Merchant in Skyloft Cave. This is a good option for players with a shortage of Evil Crystals or for those who have a hard time farming for them.
Evil Crystals can be sold to Rupin at night for 30 Rupees.
