Strategy

How to Beat Keese
Keese can simply be defeated by attacking it with a sword. Note that it won't drop rupees or treasure if you defeat it with a whip.

Keese are basic cave-dweller bats that are airborne. They also sometimes hang on cave ceilings and attack when approached.

All weapons are effective, but swords are the most efficient to use.

There are three variants of Keese: Fire Keese in Eldin, Thunder Keese in Lanyru, and the special Dark Keese in Fire Sanctuary.
