Puget Altus is an error message that appears when players are having issues connecting to the online services of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). Read on to learn more about the cause of this error and possible methods of fixing it!
List of Contents
The Puget Altus Error usually occurs when the game is having difficulty connecting to the Modern Warfare 2 servers upon launch due to issues with your Internet Connection or if the game servers are unstable.
This may also be due to the fact that a lot of players are connecting to the servers during peak hours which causes heavy traffic to the servers and is unable to handle several connections from dozens of players around the world.
For the past few days, players have been constantly dealing with server connection issues and receiving the Puget Altus Error. It's easy to assume that the servers are simply down for maintenance, however this may not be the case as the servers have been up and running without disruptance for several weeks/months now.
We can however assume that the servers are having difficulty in managing server traffic as the game is boasting a huge number of players online daily.
