Ashika Island is a new map for Resurgence and DMZ in the upcoming Season 2 update for Warzone 2 which features different points-of-interests and new areas to explore. Read on to learn more about Ashika Island and all the confirmed POIs, as well as the release date for the map!

Arriving in the Season 2 Update!
Ashika Island will be releasing alongside the Resurgence game mode in the upcoming Season 2 update for Warzone 2 on February 15, 2023. Alongside the Ashika Island drop will be various quality-of-life improvements for Warzone 2, DMZ, and MW2 Multiplayer.

Tsuki Castle
One of the POIs featured is Tsuki Castle, a large Japanese-style castle based on Treyarch's Castle map — a classic map originally introduced back in Call of Duty: World at War and remastered in Vanguard.
Tsuki Castle has a mix of compact hallways and large courtyards. However, with a large tower functioning as an overlook, it may be best to stick to the interiors unless you want to be killed by longshot camo farmers.
Additionally, the castle is said to feature a hidden space inside as mentioned in the developer's tweet. What lies within the hidden area is up to the players to find out upon release of the map.

Town Center
The Town Center features a lot of commercial facilities and multi-story buildings, perfect for camping in this small-scale BR map. While more details have yet to be shared, the developers have teased that this area will feature a mix of buildings that cater to both long-range and close-quarters combat. However, like most urban maps, always be ready for the third-party waiting to happen.

Beach Club
Beach Club is located on the western coast of the island and neighbors the nearby Town Center. Be wary of attacks from both land and sea as nearby squads will likely treat these two POIs as a hot drop since they are very close to one another.

Oganikku Farms
Oganikku Farms is a large POI that inhabits majority of the northwestern sector of Ashika Island.
This industrialized location has numerous buildings sprawling all over the place and players will most likely hide and lurk around in one of the facilities in the area.
It might be good to scout the area first using the comms tower lookout point located on the northwest edge of the Oganikku Farms to scan the area for hostiles.

Port Ashika
Situated on the southwestern edge of the island, near the rocky bluffs is Port Ashika. Those who want to venture to the area would have to go through steep terrain to reach the to the port or use the canal entrance from the nearby subterrenean submarine base that connects the two areas.
Alternatively, you can get there by swimming on the edges of the island to get to the dockside, although it's a bit risky as this leaves you vulnerable to enemy fire especially if there are snipers hiding on the comms tower overlooking the port.

Residential
A tiny village located on the northeastern zone of the island, Residential houses a lot of local homes which ideally makes it a good place for urban warfare as close-quarters combat will most likely take place here.
Ideally, you'll want to pass through the houses for cover and to clear them out of campers hiding in one of the residential lots.

Shipwreck
Shipwreck has a slight resemblance to the Modern Warfare 2 map, Shipment, with cargo containers spread across the area. The rocky outcrops on the beach will provide you enough cover as you pass through the shoreline on your way to this location.
You'll want to pay attention to the cliffs overlooking the POI as other players can easily shoot you down from above — luckily the containers are more than enough cover from all the bullets raining down on you.

What Is Ashika Island?
New Resurgence and DMZ Map
Ashika Island is a new Warzone 2 map for Resurgence and DMZ in the Season 2 update and functions as a secondary map to Al-Mazrah as the map features a smaller layout and can only be playable with squads of up to 3 members similar to the Mini-Royale BR mode.
