Warzone 2.0 currently supports cross-platform play features — meaning PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players will get to play and team up together in Battle Royale and DMZ.
Disable Feature to Queue With People on the Same Platform
Warzone 2.0 players can use the disable feature if they prefer queuing up with people on the same platform.
This comes as a personal preference as PlayStation and Xbox users may prefer restricting their matchmaking pool to console players as well, given how PC players have the advantage of using mouse and keyboard in First-Person Shooter games.
Benefits of Cross-Platform
Player Progression
In Warzone 2.0, players won't have to worry about their stats reseting since accounts can be linked to multiple platforms. This is of great benefit particularly for individuals that plan on experiencing the game on different gaming platforms.
Larger Player Pool
Another benefit of the multiplatform feature is the increased player pool for matchmaking. It is no secret that players dislike having to sit through long wait times in lobbies.
With cross-play enabled, having players from multiple platforms can quickly fill-up lobbies with players fast so that individuals can quickly jump into the Warzone 2 multiplayer action.
Teaming up With Friends
A known issue in older Call of Duty installments (particularly from the PS3 and Xbox 360 era) is the inability of certain players to queue matches together due to having different gaming platforms.
The addition of cross-play in recent CoD games has since then resolved this problem by granting players the ability to team up together from different platforms to enjoy the Warzone 2 experience with friends.
