★ How to Get Weapon Cases
The Weapon Vault in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (MW2) lets players unlock a cosmetic for a weapon and all of its attachments. Read on to learn more about the Weapon Vault, its difference from Blueprints, and how to get them.
List of Contents
Weapon Vaults give players access to a special skin for a weapon and its attachments. You'll immediately get both the weapon and its attachments, meaning you can skip having to grind levels to unlock them. This is useful for obtaining powerful guns that you don't have access to yet.
Keep in mind that you can only use the weapon with the skin equipped if you haven't unlocked it through leveling up.
Gunsmith 2.0 Guide: Weapon Attachments Explained
Weapon Vaults are the next stage of the Blueprint system introduced in Modern Warfare (2019). Similar to the Weapon Vault, Blueprints are cosmetics you can obtain to give your weapons new designs or to immediately unlock weapons.
However, Blueprints come with specific attachments so changing one attachment can ruin the look of a gun. In contrast, Weapon Vault skins are applied to all the attachments of a weapon. This means you can change them up according to your preference while still retaining a consistent look.
There has only been one Weapon Vault released so far, the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault. This is currently only accessible by pre-ordering the Vault Edition of MW2.
While there's no confirmation on how to get other Weapon Vaults, Blueprints in previous games were obtained by purchasing them from the Store, unlocking them through a Battle Pass, and completing challenges tied to them. The same methods may apply to Weapon Vaults.
