Modern Warfare 2 - How to Save Custom Mods Banner

Attachments, Blueprints, and other Customizable aesthetics on a weapon can now be saved as a pre-set loadout with the use of Custom Mods in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) and Warzone 2.0. Read on to learn about Custom Mods and how to save a Custom Mod loadout!

How to Save Custom Mods

Modern Warfare 2 - Select Gunsmith
Select the Gunsmith on the weapon that you currently have equipped.

Modern Warfare 2 - Apply Customizations
Apply the attachments and other customizations you wish to use.

Modern Warfare 2 - Save a Custom Mod
Select Save A Custom Mod found on the bottom left of the Gunsmith menu.

Modern Warfare 2 - Rename Custom Mods
Rename your Custom Mod then select Save Weapon. You can save up to a total of 5 Custom Mods.

Modern Warfare 2 - Profanity Custom Mods
Do note that profanity and anything considered offensive will not be allowed.

Modern Warfare 2 - Select Armory
Equip the Weapon and select Armory under it.

You should then be able to select which Custom Mod you wish to equip.

Customized Weapons Can Be Saved and Reused

Modern Warfare 2 - Custom Mods Reuse

Attachments, Blueprints, Charms, and Stickers on a weapon can now be saved and reused in any loadout. This makes it easier for players to quickly change their attachments to a different preset that they customized and saved.

Previously, players would have to manually open up the Gunsmith on the main menu or while in-game to change the attachments and aesthetics equipped for their weapon.
