| 1 | After accepting the quest, proceed to the Artisanship Commission to meet up with Chengjie and Qingque. He will have you test out the Starskiff made from Ryan's Manuscript. |
| 2 | After troubleshooting, Chengjie wants to try the system on an Aurumaton to have Master Gongshu look at why the design failed. |
| 3 | Head to Machinery District and look for standard Aurumaton parts. Proceed to the quest marker to grab the parts and hand it over to Chengjie back at the Comission Entrance. |
| 4 | After giving the Aurumaton parts to Chengjie, he will ask you to fix the jade abacus. Complete the puzzle to proceed. |
| 5 | The Aurumaton will reject the system installed by Chengjie and will attack, so prepare to fight the Aurumaton. Tip: The Aurumaton is weak to Lightning, Wind, and Quantum. Bring characters with these elements to gain the upper hand. |
| 6 | After arriving at the Divination Commision, Fu Xuan and Xueyi will tell you to capture a criminal hiding at Stargazer Navalia in exchange for getting Master Ryan back to the mortal realm. |
| 7 | After capturing the criminal, Fu Xuan will ask you to reactivate the base terminals of the Matrix of Presence. Proceed to each base terminal to activate them. |
| 8 | There are three base terminals to reactivate. Head east of the Matrix of Presence to activate the green Base Terminal. |
| 9 | Head south of the Matrix of Presence to activate the purple Base Terminal. |
| 10 | Head west of the Matrix of Presence to activate the blue Base Terminal. |
| 11 | After activating the Base Terminals, Fu Xuan will then temporarily bring back Master Ryan's spirit in the Aurumaton. Master Ryan and Chengjie will then have a conversation about how Chengjie should focus on his own dreams. |
| 12 | Return to Starskiff Haven and talk to Chengjie. He will decide to give up being a Starskiff designer to pursue his passion in painting. The quest ends here. |
| 13 | Talk to Chengjie directly after you finish the quest. Here, you can choose to either push another paper boat free or keep it as a memento. |

After the quest, you can either set another paper boat to sail, or keep it as a memento. Keeping it will give you the paper boat as a mission item.
