Because Okuwamon is a Virus-type Digimon, it is weak to Vaccine Digimon. Assembling an all-Vaccine team will prove beneficial in quickly defeating Okuwamon in its battle.
Aegiomon, Kabuterimon, and Greymon inherently have Electricity and Earth skills, respectively, to deal direct damage to Okuwamon. Coredramon (Blue) is useful for its multi-target Fire attack aimed at the two Kuwagamon flanking Okuwamon.
How to Beat Okuwamon
Okuwamon is a Virus-type Digimon that is initially accompanied by two Kuwagamon. Later, it begins summoning allies to fight alongside it. Follow these tips to learn how to beat Okuwamon effectively:
- Prioritize Defeating Okuwamon
- Use Cross Arts to Defeat Okuwamon's Allies
- Counter Okuwamon's Character Reversal
- Buff Team SPI to Resist Rune Forest
Prioritize Defeating Okuwamon
It is recommended to quickly defeat Okuwamon to end the battle swiftly and halt it from repeatedly summoning allies. Take advantage of its weaknesses to Electricity and Earth, and use Cross Arts to deal massive damage to it.
Use Cross Arts to Defeat Okuwamon's Allies
You can also use your Cross Arts, like Cross Art: Burst, to deal multi-target damage to Okuwamon and its allies. However, focusing on defeating Okuwamon's allies may delay the battle as it will summon more allies anyway.
Counter Okuwamon's Character Reversal
At some point in the battle, Okuwamon will use Character Reversal, becoming resistant to Vaccine as well as Electricity and Earth attacks. To counter this, swap to Data Digimon and exploit Okuwamon's weakness to Plant by dealing damage of that element.
In case your Data Digimon are weak to Okuwamon's attacks, you may use Character Reversal to flip unfavorable elemental compatibility.
Buff Team SPI to Resist Rune Forest
Okuwamon's Rune Forest skill is a deadly AoE attack that deals magic Plant damage to your Digimon. It would be beneficial to increase your team's SPI with buffs like the Mental Charge or Mental Field attachment skills. You can also do this by equipping Cross Art: High Field.
