A Missing Friend can be unlocked during The World Tree's Cry Main Mission. You'll also need to finish the Side Mission, Between the Worlds, to unlock it.

Once the Side Mission is unlocked, you'll receive a message from Motimon in your Digivice!

Meet the In-Training Digimon in Central Town

A Missing Friend Start Location

To start A Missing Friend, head to Central Town and speak with the In-Training Digimon near the Locomon Station.

A Missing Friend Step 1
Use the Locomon Railroad to go to the Abyss Beach. Then, head over to the marked location to meet up with Agumon and Gabumon.

A Missing Friend Step 2
You'll need to defeat the Scorpiomon in battle. Omnimon will also join the party as a guest member, so the fight shouldn't be too hard. After this, you'll return to Central Town and get your rewards!

Scorpiomon is a Data type, so having a team of Virus digimon will keep you at an advantage. Scorpiomon is also weak to Fire and Electricity, so digimon like Growlmon, Kuwagamon, and Guardromon can deal a good amount of damage to it.

Omnimon can take out a huge chunk of Scorpiomon's HP from the get-go, so it will be easy to win the fight, especially when attacking with Fire and Electricity skills. However, if you don't have any sufficient digimon, you can also just guard while leaving the work to Omnimon.
