Digimon Story Time Stranger How to Increase Digimon Bond
Battle with your partner Digimon to increase its Bond in Digimon Story Time Stranger. See all the other ways to increase a Digimon's Bond and its effects when Digivolving in this guide.

How to Increase Digimon Bond

Participate in Battles

The easiest way to increase a Digimon's Bond is to have them participate in battles. Only Battle Members and Reserve Members will have their Bonds increased this way.

Reserve Digimon bonds increase slower while those in the box cannot increase their Bond levels through battle.

Talk to the Digimon

When a Digimon on the field has a speech bubble icon next to them, interact with them to start a conversation. The dialogue option you choose affects and may change a Digimon's Personality and increases their Bond.

Feed the Digimon at the Digifarm

After unlocking the Digifarm, you can provide them with food to increase their Bond with you. You can purchase food for your Digimon at the food shop in Shinjuku.

Digimon Bond Benefits

Allows a Digimon to Inherit Its Stats When Digivolving

A Digimon with a high Bond percentage will be able to inherit its cumulative stats when Digivolving and De-Digivolving. This allows them to boost their stats, up to 100 times max. In addition, its Bond does not decrease with De-Digivolution.

10% of Previous Stat Value Increases When Digivolving and De-Digivolving

When you Digivolve or De-Digivolve a Digimon, 10% of its previous stat value that was increased through leveling up or by training on the Digifarm will be added to the cumulative stat.

With this in mind, a De-Digivolved Digimon with a high bond will be able to retain its stats, and Digivolving it allows you to have it start from Level 1 and gain more stat increases further.

Digivolution Guide and All Evolution Lines

Increases Chances for Extra Attacks

The higher the Digimon's bond, the more likely it is to activate extra attacks after attacking in combat.

Increases Critical Hit Chance

Higher bond levels also increase the likelihood of landing Critical Hits during attacks. This is especially helpful later in the game when battles get tougher.

What Does CRT Rate Do?

Increases Item Drop Rate

If your party includes a Digimon with a high bond level, you're more likely to get items after battles. Only the Digimon with the highest bond is counted, so even one is enough to boost the drop rate.
