A Digimon with a high Bond percentage will be able to inherit its cumulative stats when Digivolving and De-Digivolving. This allows them to boost their stats, up to 100 times max. In addition, its Bond does not decrease with De-Digivolution.
When you Digivolve or De-Digivolve a Digimon, 10% of its previous stat value that was increased through leveling up or by training on the Digifarm will be added to the cumulative stat.
With this in mind, a De-Digivolved Digimon with a high bond will be able to retain its stats, and Digivolving it allows you to have it start from Level 1 and gain more stat increases further.
Digivolution Guide and All Evolution Lines
The higher the Digimon's bond, the more likely it is to activate extra attacks after attacking in combat.
Higher bond levels also increase the likelihood of landing Critical Hits during attacks. This is especially helpful later in the game when battles get tougher.
If your party includes a Digimon with a high bond level, you're more likely to get items after battles. Only the Digimon with the highest bond is counted, so even one is enough to boost the drop rate.
