Can You Beat Chaosdramon?

Technically Yes, But Not Recommended

Chaosdramon Hyper Infinity Cannon

It's possible to beat Chaosdramon on Story Difficulty, but almost impossible on any higher difficulty. It is ultimately not recommended, as the fight is extremely tedious and the rewards are not worth the effort.

How to Beat Chaosdramon

Use Vaccine Type Digimon

A team of Vaccine Type Digimon is recommended against Chaosdramon, since it is a Virus Type. Gomamon is your best damage dealer because Chaosdramon is weak to Water and Ice skills.

If you did not select Gomamon as your starter, you can rely on other Vaccine Digimon you can convert in this area, such as Monodramon or Tentomon, who will deal consistent neutral damage.

Select Invincible Mode in Story Difficulty

Retry in Invincible Mode

At this point in the mission, your Digimon will be too under-leveled to beat Chaosdramon normally. It is Level 65 and its Hyper Infinity Cannon can wipe your team instantly.

The only way to reliably win here is in Story Difficulty, by getting wiped and selecting Retry in Invincible Mode, where your Digimon cannot take damage. The battle will still drag on due to low damage, but you can speed it up with 5x battle speed and Auto Attack.

Item Talent Awakening Booster DX

Aside from the experience and money, defeating Chaosdramon gives a Talent Awakening Booster DX, which increases a Digimon’s level cap by 5, and a 5% Scan Rate for Chaosdramon. Since it does not respawn, the low scan rate makes this fight generally not worth the effort.
