Orion's Belt Walkthrough

Orion's Belt is a contract mission you can take on in Assassin's Creed Mirage (AC Mirage). Read on for the contract details, how to start, how to kill the Bandit Ringleaders with environmental damage, and the rewards for completing the quest.

How to Start the Orion's Belt

From Contract Boards in Hidden One Bureaus

You can start Orion's Belt contract mission by accepting the quest from the Contract Board in any Hidden One Bureau.

To access these contract boards, you'll need to finish the Zeroing In Main Quest to unlock them. Upon returning to the Harbiyah Bureau, Abu Jafar will grant you access to the contract boards.

Requires Completion of The Trade Delegate

To unlock The Orion's Belt from the contracts board, you'll need to complete The Trade Delegate contract mission.

Although Orion's Belt is story-wise the mission directly after The Trade Delegate, it requires you to also progress the Main Mission and complete The Raptor and the Demon.

Once you complete The Trade Delegate and The Raptor and the Demon, you will receive a notification that a new contract is available to start at the Hidden One Bureaus.

Get the Deep Slumber Blowdart Upgrade

Before heading to the contract location, we recommend unlocking the Blowdart and getting the Deep Slumber upgrade.

This will make it easier to take out the targets with environmental damage to meet the contractor request.

Blowdart Best Upgrades

Head to Qasr Salih

Make your way to Qasr Salih in the northern section of Sharqiyah section of Karkh. Your destination is the rooftop of a small house near the arched gate at the eastern side of Qasr Salih.

Hide on the Roof

Hide on the roof and a short cutscene will play showing the arrival of your targets, twins named Alnitak and Alnilam. The discuss their current options now that their brother, the Perfume Trader who you killed in The Traitor contract mission is dead.

After the cutscene, the brothers will split up and head to opposite sides of Qasr Salih, with the closest one staying near the docks.

Assassinate the Guards by the Docks

The dock area has many guards that make it difficult to properly assassinate one of the twins with environmental damage. It's also in a relatively open area where some passer-bys may see you witnessing a crime.

We recommend taking out the surrounding guards, using tools like Throwing Knives and Mindwipe-upgraded Smoke Bomb to carefully dispatch each of them.

Take Out the Twin with a Fire Pot

The twin will periodically come to check on the chicken cages before moving back to the northern building. Once he returns to the building, quickly move the fire pot closer to his location by the chicken cages.

Once he heads back to the chicken cages, quickly use a Throwing Knife to hit the fire pot to detonate and kill the first twin with environmental damage.

Put the Twin to Sleep

Alternatively, you can also put the twin to sleep with your Blowdart and then simply move the fire pot next his body and detonate it to get the environmental kill.

Head to the Western Side of Qasr Salih

With the first twin killed, make your way to the western side of Qasr Salih. This is more heavily guarded than the docks and we recommend accessing the area by climbing the nearby ramparts or rooftops.

Assassinate the Guards in the Plaza

We recommend assassinating most of the guards in the area where the second twin is patrolling, particularly the armored guards since they can use a ranged fire attack that can cause the fire pot in the area to detonate prematurely.

Start by taking out the guards on the nearby rooftops to avoid getting seen, then quietly pick off the guards by luring them near the flower beds. You can also rush the armored guards and throw a Smoke Bomb at your feet to assassinate them faster.

Put the Second Twin to Sleep

Due to the second twin's more erratic patrol route and his propensity to investigate sleeping or killed guards, we recommend putting the second twin to sleep and placing the fire pot next to him.

Use a throwing knife to detonate the fire pot to assassinate the second twin with environmental damage and complete the contract mission.

Completing the quest rewards 2 Merchant Favor Tokens, 45 Components, and a Rostam Outfit schematic.

Successfully completing the optional contractor request will reward you an additional 2 Merchant Favor Tokens and 65 Dirham.

Orion's Belt Trivia

A Reference to the Orion Constellation

The contract mission's name Orion's Belt is a reference to the asterism in the constellation Orion often called The Three Kings, featuring three bright stars called Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka.

The twin targets featured in this contract mission are named Alnitak and Alnilam and they reveal that their brother was the Perfume Trader who you previously killed.

Although unnamed, he was presumably called Mintaka to match his brothers' naming conventions with Basim remarking during the mission that the three targets are triplets.
