Head towards the House of Wisdom to attend the symposium. Once Basim arrives there, speak to the Kahraman who will inform Basim that the lecture will begin shortly, forcing Basim to mingle with the crowd.
Basim will need to mingle with the other attendees of the symposium to pass the time and progress the mission.
The 4 people that Basim will need to interact with are Nehal, the poet Arib, Hunayn the translator, and the astronomer Al-Farghani.
Use Eagle Vision to highlight these NPCs and make them easier to locate.
Nehal is found leaning against a wall near the northeastern exit. Speaking to her will promt Basim to follow her to Ahmad ibn Musa's office.
Once inside the office, Basim must examine 4 different diagrams. All 4 diagrams are located inside the office, so use Eagle Vision to make locating them easier.
Eavesdropping on some poetry fans will reveal that the famous poet Arib is attending the symposium.
Arib is found resting under a stone pavilion on the eastern outer courtyard. To reach her, head out the northeastern exit of the House of Wisdom and turn right as you walk along the path.
Alternatively, Basim can exit through one of the northeastern-facing windows in Ahmad ibn Musa's office once he's finished the interaction with Nehal.
Arib is the poet whose works have constantly been mentioned throughout this questline.
Hunayn, the rescued translator, is found near the courtyard fountain. Basim must speak to Hunayn as part of the objective.
Al-Farghani can be found admiring the astrolabe on the western side of the House of Wisdom. Speak to him as he compares himself to Fazil and goes on a short rant about his own achievements.
Once Basim has finished mingling with the other attendees, the symposium will begin. Simply head towards the objective marker to trigger a cutscene.
As Fazil begins his lecture, the Kahraman will interrupt him and inform him of the deaths of Doctor Hassan and Zahra.
This will cause Fazil to prematurely end the lecture and retreat into hiding.
Once Fazil makes his hasty retreat, explore the House of Wisdom for clues about his location.
The end goal for this objective is to gain access to the House of Wisdom's basement. To do this, Basim can either speak the passphrase or locate the hidden entrance.

How to Get The Passphrase and Hidden Entrance Location
The basement of the House of Wisdom is fairly linear, so Basim can easily navigate this area. There are slight variations, however, to the paths Basim must take depending on how Basim accessed this area.
Following along the corridors will eventually lead Basim to a room in which he will remark;
Continue following along the path to eventually come into a large room containing multiple guards and Al-Rabisu.
Climb up the wooden supports on either side of the room and walk along the steel poles to reach the chandlier hanging above Al-Rabisu to get into position to assassinate him.
After Basim remarks “There is a deep wrongness here, a reek of rot and iron.”, immediately use Eagle Vision and look to the right to see a body behind a locked door.
Enter the cell beside the locked room and crawl through a hole in the wall between the two cells to reach the body and acquire the White Patient Robe costume.
Equip the patient's robes to disguise Basim, allowing him to walk through the following area unnoticed.
Walk into Fazil's chamber for a special interaction and cutscene that will eventually lead to an opening for Al-Rabisu's assassination.
Once Al-Rabisu is dead, leave the House of Wisdom to complete the mission.
The passphrase is required to gain access to Fazil's office. The office in question contains a secret entrance behind a moveable bookcase that leads to the basement.
Fazil's office is located near the astrolabe where Basim first speaks to Al-Fargahni. Speaking to the guard will prompt the guard to speak a line which Basim must reply to with the correct passphrase.
While facing the Gatekeeper, take the stairs to your right side to find a distraught librarian muttering something about losing a book.
Sit down on the nearby bench and eavesdrop on the librarians to gain a clue about the passphrase.
The book containing the passphrase is located on the balcony in the northwestern corner of the House of Wisdom.
To reach the book, head back to the Gatekeeper and head outside the hallway on the left side. Turn right to reach the northwestern corner of the outer courtyard and scale the wall to reach the balcony.
Once on the balcony, turn the right corner and walk towards the wooden privacy screen to locate the book containing the passphrase on the bench behind it.
Return to the Gatekeeper and select the “Are Those Who Shall Return” option to gain access to Fazil's private office.
Head into the office and examin the letter on the table. Afterwards, turn to the left to see a moveable bookcase that Basim can pull to reveal the entryway into the basement.
The hidden entrance to the lower levels of the House of Wisdom is located beneath one of the two pergolas situated on the western-most corner of the House of Wisdom's outer courtyard.
Basim can pay the Kahraman 1 Scholar's Favor Token to learn about the existence of an alternate entrance to the basement. The Kahraman will also give Basim a clue about the exact location of the entrance.
This is an optional step and can be skipped completely once you already know the exact location of the basement hatch.
Use Enkidu to locate the Rooftop Gardener as he will be holding the key required to unlock the alternate entrance.
Climb up to the House of Wisdom's rooftops and acquire the key by pickpocketing the gardener. Beware of the many guards present on the roof as it is considered a Restricted Area.
Once the key has been obtained, head to the western corner of the outer courtyard to find 2 pergolas situated parallel to each other, separated by some flowers.
The hatch is located on the floor of one of the pergolas. Approach the hatch with key in hand to receive the “Unlock” button prompt.
Whichever path Basim decides to take to access the basement of The House of Wisdom, both paths will converge once they reach “T” shaped corridor, which is actually one long corridor separated by a wall in the middle.
If Basim is accessing the basement from the entrance behind the bookcase in Fazil's office then Basim must enter the basement and follow the path until he locates a guard standing in front of an empty cell.
Assassinate the guard and follow the corridor until it branches into a “T” shape. Take the left path to see a roving guard. Not that there is also an unseen guard sitting on a stool in one of the alcoves along the corridor.
Continue following the path until Basim comes into an open room with 1 Armored Clavio and 2 other guards.
Use a Throwing Knife on one of the 2 Fire Pots, a Smoke Bomb, or Assassin's Focus to quickly dispatch the guards in this room.
Once the guards have been dealt with, take the left corridor to see another guard that is bent over a desk. Assassinate or sneak past him until the corridor takes a sharp right that ends with a door that leads to Al-Rabisu/Fazil.
If Basim is accessing the basement through the hatch in the outer courtyard, then his basement starting point will be on the otherside of the “T” shaped corridor.
Drop down from the hatch and head down the stairs to see a guard sitting on a stool on the other side of some metal bars. Follow the corridor as it turns left to spot a roving guard that needs assassinating.
Continue following the corridor around the bend and follow the corridor towards the guard on the stool and look for the room containing 1 Armored Clavio and 2 other guards.
Use a Throwing Knife on one of the 2 Fire Pots, a Smoke Bomb, or Assassin's Focus to quickly dispatch the guards in this room.
Once the guards have been dealt with, take the left corridor to see another guard that is bent over a desk. Assassinate or sneak past him until the corridor takes a sharp right that ends with a door that leads to Al-Rabisu/Fazil.
