The Carolingian Coin Heist Walkthrough

The Carolingian Coin Heist is a contract mission you can take on in Assassin's Creed Mirage (AC Mirage). Read on for the contract details, how to start, how to steal the coin undetected, and the rewards for completing the quest.

How to Start the Carolingian Coin Heist

From Contract Boards in Hidden One Bureaus

You can start The State Official contract mission by accepting the quest from the Contract Board in any Hidden One Bureau.

To access these contract boards, you'll need to finish the Zeroing In Main Quest to unlock them. Upon returning to the Harbiyah Bureau, Abu Jafar will grant you access to the contract boards.

To unlock The Carolingian Coin Heist from the contracts board, you'll need to complete The Boat Heist contract mission.

Once you complete that quest, you will receive a notification that a new contract is available to start at the Hidden One Bureaus.

Head to the Monastery of the Virgins

Make your way to the Monastery of the Virgins located in the Abbasiyah section of Baghdad.

This is a restricted area, so we recommend equipping the Rostam Outfit from The Marked Coins contract mission to minimize Basim's movement noise.

Fast Travel to the Viewpoint

If you've previously accessed the Viewpoint in the area, you can simply fast travel to the location.

This is also the best place to start infiltrating the monastery since you are well above the location where the guards are patrolling and you can better position where you'll drop into the area.

Find the Secret Entrance

Once near the monastery, use Enkidu to scope out the area and look for the Secret Entrance located slightly north of the central area.

Assassinate the Guards on the Roof

We recommend assassinating the guards on the roof, particularly the ones patrolling the western side of the monastery close to the viewpoint so you'll have an easier time escaping the area later.

Getting rid of the guards here will also prevent you from getting spotted once you make your way to the Secret Entrance.

Solve the Secret Entrance Puzzle

Head down the Secret Entrance and you'll find two pressure plates on each side of the area. You'll need to carry and place heavy pots on the pressure plates to access the secret vault area.

There is one heavy pot next to the right side pressure plate. Basim will remark that there are no more pots in the secret entrance, so you'll have to look elsewhere.

Take the Heavy Pot Outside

There are more heavy pots outside the secret entrance in the well area with 3 guards. We recommend luring each one into the flower beds and assassinating them, or simply put them to sleep with the Blowdart.

Once the guards are taken care of, grab one of the heavy pots and place it on the other pressure plate to access the hidden vault.

Use a Torch to Light Up the Area

Although there are no enemies within the hidden vault, it's a very dark area and it may be difficult to see the path. Equip your Torch to easily navigate the vault and find the monastery's hidden cache.

Steal the Carolingian Coin

You'll reach a hidden cache full of lootable Dirham at the end of the vault. Grab the Carolingian Coin from the makeshift altar and leave the vault.

Leave the Monastery

Make your way to the rooftops where you assassinated the guards and leave the monastery. You'll need to leave the restricted area for the quest to update and meet the contractor request if you weren't seen.

Deliver the Coin to Dervis' Stash

Make your way across the river from the monastery, following the quest marker to the drop-off area, and place the Carolingian Coin in the basket to complete the contract mission.

The State Official Rewards

Rewards	115 Leather 2 Scholar Favor Tokens 45 Components
Contractor Request Rewards	2 Scholar Favor Tokens 65 Dirham

Completing the quest rewards 115 Leather, 2 Scholar Favor Tokens, and 45 Components.

Successfully completing the optional contractor request will reward you an additional 2 Scholar Favor Tokens and 65 Dirham.
