The Satiric Poet

Meet with the Satiric Poet

Head to the northwest of the Round City and meet with the Satiric Poet, who is located in a small alleyway near the edge of the district.

You can use Enkidu to scope out his position, or use Eagle Vision which will highlight him in red. The Satiric Poet has made a powerful enemy thanks to his poems and will ask Basim to escort him to safety.

Destroy the Barricade

Follow the poet until you reach a barricade blocking the road. Simply destroy the obstacle by hitting it with a weapon attack.

Save the Poet's Nephew

Continue following the poet until you reach a plaza that has a total of 5 guards, with one of them accosting the poet's nephew. You'll need to save the poet and get rid of the guards for the poet to safely pass by the area.

Use Smoke Bombs to Deal with the Guards

This plaza is a relatively open area with even the upper areas frequented with people who will easily see Basim assassinate the guards. We recommend throwing Smoke Bombs near the guards so you can take them out easily with Chain Assassination.

The guards are spaced far apart from one another so you will most likely get seen by at least one of them that will come to investigate. Fortunately, there's a Munadi nearby that you can lower your notoriety by paying a Power Favor Token.

Once you dispatch all enemies, follow the Satiric Poet to the next stop.

How to Use Smoke Bombs

Take Out the Remaining Guards

Follow the poet until you reach an archway with 4 patrolling guards, one of which can use a ranged fire attack.

You can take out one of the guards by throwing a Throwing Knife to drop a stack of rocks on top of them which will lure out another guard from the archway.

Throw Smoke Bombs from Range

The enemy that can spew fire is located at the far end of the archway and is rarely lured by noise. We recommend throwing a smoke bomb from range to take them out to avoid getting hit by their ranged attack.

Talk to the Satiric Poet

With all enemies dispatched, follow the poet and talk to him once he reaches his destination to complete the contract mission.

The Satiric Poet Rewards

Rewards 2 Scholar Favor Tokens

Contractor Request Rewards 2 Scholar Favor Tokens

Completing the quest rewards 2 Scholar Favor Tokens, 45 Components, and the Rostam Dagger which increases the damage of your Throwing Knives by 10% when thrown at close range.
