Gilded Butterflies Mission Walkthrough

1. Expose the Treasurer's Identity

Despite knowing who is the target, Basim is still unsure of the true identity of the Treasurer. Head to the bazaar and use your eagle vision to look for clues to expose the Treasurer's true identity.

Speak to Kong and Do a Favor for Him

1	Go to the marked location in the bazaar. There will be an unbarred door and a barred door; open the unbarred door.
2	Move the crates to climb to the upper platform.
3	Throw the flammable pot on the destructable wall.
4	Move the crates outside and use them to climb to the second floor.
5	Climb up and grab the plate.
6	Return to Kong.

Kong will be at the Bazaar, he is willing to offer help in exchange for a favor that requires stealing a plate from Luca. Once you finish his favor, he will give you information on two ladies talking about the order they made for the Treasurer.

Visit the Foreign Merchant

Use your eagle vision to reveal another intel source, that will be the Foreign Merchant; visit his stall and inspect his goods to learn more about the hairpin the Treasurer is obsessed about.

Eavesdrop on the Mysterious Woman's Conversation

Eavesdrop on the Mysterious Woman
1	Use eagle vision to locate the mysterious woman.
2	Sit on the nearby bench to eavesdrop. Throughout the conversation, the mysterious woman's name is revealed as Qabiha.
3	Follow Qabiha to her lounge.
4	Sit on the bench outside to eavesdrop further on the conversation.
5	Speak to Qabiha to receive intel about the Treasurer.

After eavesdropping and talking to Qabiha, she will reveal that the Treasurer is a woman and her name is Ning. With Basim's target confirmed, it's time to proceed with the assassination.

2. Gain Audience with The Treasurer

The Treasurer is an esteemed merchant who is heavily guarded and secured. You will need to gain an audience with her for an assassination opportunity.

Attend the Great Auction

During the great auction, you need to obtain the hairpin which would cost you a total of 650 dirhams if you chose to bid. If you did not bid, you will need to steal the hairpin from the Eager Merchant.

After obtaining the hairpin, you will need to get an Ivory Coin's brooch to gain an audience with the Treasurer.

How to Get an Ivory Coin's Brooch
1	Use eagle vision to locate the Spice Merchant, she will give intel regarding the Ivory Coin guild and their brooch.
2	Speak to the Spice Merchant to know the whereabouts of the Ivory Coin guild.
3	Go to the guild location and steal the brooch inside. The building and its entrance will be marked with an orange scroll.

Once you have the brooch, return to the soldier guarding the entrance to Ning's chambers. He will escort you to her location and a cutscene will play.

3. Assassinate Ning

Follow the guard that escorts you and allow the cutscene to play until the assassination prompt appears.

This is one of the easiest assassinations in the game, however, escaping will be hard as there will be a lot of guards alerted by Ning's death. You can use a smoke bomb to incapacitate the guards or kill them all.
