This tool releases a cloud of smoke that obscures enemy vision, allowing you to break away from chasing guards or use them offensively to take assassinate enemies in the middle of a crowd!

Unlock the Blowdart as your second tool as you can use it to quickly assassinate asleep enemies. Asleep enemies function the same way as knocked down enemies so you can instantly kill them.

You can also use this tool to distract enemies. If another enemy finds a sleeping enemy, they will move away from their area or patrol route to investigate. This allows you to slip past them unseen.

In addtion, a Blowdart is required to complete the missable You Snooze, You Lose achievement. This achivement requires you to pickpocket a sleeping guard.

The Throwing Knife is the first combat tool you'll unlock in the game and is arguably the most versatile tool in Basim's arsenal.

This tool allows you to assassinate enemies in range, as well as interact with environmental objects such as cutting the ropes of overhanging crates to crush enemies underneath.

We recommend investing in the Sharp Blade upgrade as soon as you can to increase your damage with this tool.

Silent Blast prevents the tool from making noise so it will not draw attention from enemies not caught in the smoke.

Mindwipe causes guards in the smoke to forget they saw Basim, allowing you to slip away and break their line of sight.

Upgrade the Blowdart as the Third Tool

2 Sparks - Noisemaker becomes an incendiary device.

You can unlock a new tool after finishing the Old Wounds main quest. After assassinating Al-Ghul and reuniting with Nehal in Abnar, return to the Harbiyah Bureau and Abu Jafar will allow you to pick 1 new tool.
