Knock Down Enemies

The trap knocks down enemies within its blast radius, making them vulnerable to an instant kill.

This is especially useful for missions that require you not to eliminate anyone in the area, as it allows you to incapacitate enemies and complete your objectives with fewer obstacles in your way.

Use as a Bomb to Deal Damage

The trap can be modified to deal damage, essentially turning it into a bomb. It is most effective when used against multiple enemies to inflict damage on all of them simultaneously.

How to Unlock Trap

Talk to Ibn Musa

AC Mirage - Ibn Musa

Tools can be unlocked by interacting Ibn Musa at any Hidden Ones' Bureau.

You'll be able to unlock a tool after finishing the Branching Out mission after assassinating Al-Ghul during the First Order.

The next unlocks are after unlocking Extra Tool Capacity 1, 2, and 3 respectively under the Trickster skills tree.

Tier 1 - Extended Capacity

Assassin Extra Capacity
Increases the ammunition capacity for this tool by 2. 		Assassin Increased Duration
Increases how long the effect of this tool lasts. 		Assassin Extended Range
Increases the distance you can throw this tool by 7 meters.

The best tier 1 upgrade to have is Extended Capacity, as it allows you to have more traps at your disposal than the other two options.

Tier 2 - Wide Burst

Assassin Fracture
Targets caught in the explosing lose defense. 		Assassin Wide Burst
Increases the explosion's area of effect. 		Assassin Whistle Trigger
Replaces proximity detonation with remote detonation by whistling.

Wide Burst increases the radius of the explosion, essentially making the effect reach more enemies.

Tier 3 - Lingering Knockdown

Assassin Deadly Blast
Replaces the non-lethal component for a fiery explosion. 		Assassin Lingering Knockdown
Greatly increases the duration of the knockdown effect.

Lingering Knockdown extends the knockdown effect, providing more time to escape or instantly eliminate incapacitated enemies.

Trap All Upgrades

Head over to a Banu Musa brother and give them the required materials to unlock an upgrade tier.

Once the tier has been unlocked, you can choose any upgrade from the tier to set it as active.

Tier 1 Upgrades

You can unlock Tier 1 Upgrades of your Smoke Bomb by spending x15 Steel Ingots, x35 Leather, and x60 Components.

Upgrade Effect
Assassin Extra Capacity Increases the ammunition capacity for this tool by 2.
Assassin Increased Duration Increases how long the effect of this tool lasts.
Assassin Extended Range Increases the distance you can throw this tool by 7 meters.

Tier 2 Upgrades

You can unlock Tier 2 Upgrades of your Smoke Bomb by spending x25 Steel Ingots, x55 Leather, and x90 Components.

Upgrade Effect
Assassin Fracture Targets caught in the explosing lose defense.
Assassin Wide Burst Increases the explosion's area of effect.
Assassin Whistle Trigger Replaces proximity detonation with remote detonation by whistling.

Tier 3 Upgrades

You can unlock Tier 3 Upgrades of your Smoke Bomb by spending x40 Steel Ingots, x100 Leather, and x150 Components.

Upgrade Effect
Assassin Deadly Blast Replaces the non-lethal component for a fiery explosion.
Assassin Lingering Knockdown Greatly increases the duration of the knockdown effect.
