| What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Fortified Axe grants Bulwark, Neutralize Penalties, and Half-Frozen to Diamant and his allies, grants Diamant bonus stats, true damage, true DR, true DR on foe's Specials, Special cooldown charges and 7 HP healing per attack. ・Fair Fight grants Diamant a Brave attack, bonus true damage, true DR, half-Frozen, and neutralizes guaranteed follow-up attacks. |
|
Might: 16 Range: 1 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of player phase or enemy phase, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants 【Bulwark】, "neutralizes unit's penalties during combat," and "increases Spd difference necessary for foe to make a follow-up attack by 10 during combat" to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. If foe initiates combat or if unit's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit x 3, + 5 (max 14), unit deals +X x 5 damage (excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's Specials by an additional X x 3 (excluding area-of-effect Specials; X = number of 【Bonus】 effects active on unit and foe, excluding stat bonuses; max 5), and grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack), and also, when unit deals damage to foe during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. |
|
Cooldown Count = 5 When Special triggers, boosts damage by X% of the greater of unit's or foe's Atk (if unit has weapon-triangle advantage, X = 80; otherwise, X = 70). Reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes) and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack), and also, if unit has weapon-triangle advantage, grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit and inflicts Special cooldown count+2 on foe before unit's first attack during combat (cannot exceed foe's maximum Special cooldown). |
|
Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range. Grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = number of 【Bonus】 effects active on unit, excluding stat bonuses, x 2 (max 8). |
|
If 【Bonus】 is active on foe, or if unit's Def > foe's Def, unit attacks twice during combat. Inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-5 on foe, deals damage = 25% of unit's Def (excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by 25% of unit's Def (including area-of-effect Specials; excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from the second strike of foe's first attack by an additional 25% of unit's Def, and for both unit and foe, neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" from non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes effects that guarantee follow-up attacks, and increases Spd difference necessary to make a follow-up attack by 20 during combat. If unit initiates combat, grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit before unit's first attack during combat. |
|
Enables 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】. At start of turn, unit can move 1 extra space (that turn only; does not stack). Grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat (max 3). |

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Legendary Diamant are +Def and -Res. Boosting Diamant's Def improves both his bulk and his damage output, with Fair Fight's Def checks improving his performance offensively and defensively.
+Atk can also be used if opting for pure offense, as Diamant's Brave Effect makes great use of the Atk boost.
We opted for Res as a bane as it isn't high enough to avoid Res checks from various Res-based skills, and Diamant will be relying on his true damage reduction effects to protect himself against enemy mages anyway.
We recommend +Def when merging Legendary Diamant up to +10 for similar reasons above. Boosting Def improves Diamant both offensive and defensively, allowing him to perform multiple roles better.

Legendary Diamant's base kit is already good enough to perform as a mixed phase unit, utilizing his brave effect and true damage along with Archrival to burst down foes and retreat to safety with Canto. His enemy phase is also good with his multiple true damage reduction effects and great stat spread.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Legendary Diamant is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Legendary Diamant's exclusive weapon Fortified Axe grants 【Bulwark】, neutralizes unit's penalties during combat,
and increases Spd difference necessary for foe to make a follow-up attack by 10 during combat
to Diamant and allies within 2 spaces of him at the start of player and enemy phases.
In combat, Fortified Axe grants Legendary Diamant up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14 (based on number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns), up to +25 bonus true damage, up to +15 bonus true damage reduction, and up to +15 bonus true damage reduction on foe's Specials (all based on number of 【Bonus】 effects on Diamant and his foe), Special cooldown charge +1 per attack, and 7 HP recovery every time Diamant deals damage to his foe.
Fortified Axe has everything it needs to compete with modern metagame weapons, having bonus stats, true damage, and true damage reduction all present, along with an extra supportive effect for Diamant's allies.
Legendary Diamant's exclusive B skill Fair Fight grants him a Brave Attack if his foe has a 【Bonus】 effect or if he wins a Def check. With Diamant's high Def and the abundance of 【Bonus】 effects in the metagame, this condition is very easy to meet and will be reliable in combat.
Fair Fight also inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-5 on Diamant's foe and grants Diamant bonus true damage, true damage reduction (including from area-of-effect Specials), true damage reduction on the second hit of his foe's Brave Attacks, all equal to 25% of his Def.
For both Diamant and his foe, Fair Fight also neutralizes non-Special percentage-based damage reduction effects, neutralizes effects that guarantee follow-up attacks, and increasing the Spd difference necessary for follow-up attacks by 20. This is where the skills' name is based from, but its other effects skew combat in Diamant's favor more often than not.
Finally, if Diamant initiates combat, Fair Fight grants him Special cooldown count -2 before his first attack, pre-charging his Special by a significant amount.
Legendary Diamant's role in combat is to be a physical Omnitank, relying on his true damage and true damage reduction effects to withstand attacks and deal significant damage. This role is abundant in the metagame, with numerous heroes able to perform similarly to him.
Most modern heroes also have bonus stats, true damage, and true damage reduction on their weapons or exclusive skills, allowing them to perform a similar role.
What sets Diamant apart from his competition are the bonuses he provides for himself and his allies as well as his easy-to-meet Brave attack condition. However, with Fair Fight's half-Frozen effect being granted to both Diamant and his foe, it is difficult for Diamant to quad attack his enemies.
